Well, maybe I don't have as much time as I thought to prove my innocence if everyone unvotes Mixt. I don't know if I agree with JS considering Mixt could still be mafia. One thing that confuses me, though, is that I expected that Mixt would reach his quota and just stop posting. That's what I did when I was revealed as mafia in a previous game. There wasn't a quota then so I just fell silent so as to not incriminate other mafioso. So I guess that is one point towards Mixt being town.

I'm gonna say that if people suspect Ghost, lynch her instead of me. If she flips town (pls be mafia..!), lynch me tomorrow. Give me the benefit of the doubt!

 

That's really clever, but it relies on me being Town which you don't know for sure. And Marushi was the only one who seemed to be willing to even entertain that I might be Town during the bulk of today.

I'll try my best to expand my reads to all four of your suspects, but in exchange we need people to read me and judge for themselves how likely I am to be Town.

Well... That's actually kind of a difficult question. XD I don't really know how I find stuff that's suspicious... Honestly, with me, I think it stems from a lifetime love of mystery novels and television. shows like NCIS and Broadchurch, and even occasionally old episodes of Remington Steele or Murder She Wrote, help me come up with theories. Watching Columbo helps me to try and see things from the point of view of the guilty, as each ep of that show was told from the murderer's point of view. Perry Mason helps me try to figure out how to prove it. Psych helps me come up with crazy or outlandish ideas that just might have some merit to them, and also helps me to not care as much if my first read is wrong. And I guess there's a part of me that's wanted to be Nancy Drew since I was like, eight. Really, I have no idea how I build cases. It's partly instinct, partly hard work, and partly just crazy pure luck. If I have a gut-read, I search for evidence, if I'm lucky, I'll find it, if I work hard, I might come up with a good theory. And if my theory is wrong, I either change it or scrap it and look somewhere else.

And that's all I can really say for how I build cases. I don't know how I do it, I just do. And it's a lot harder to do when you can't see or hear a person. XD

I disagree with you. My reasoning is as follows: If Judge is a member of the Mafia, and we are trying to figure out who Judge is working with, looking at the reads of any confirmed Townie will be helpful, because anyone could pick up on a potential tell. Let's say, for example, Calxiyn. Calxiyn has been decidedly suspicious of Midnight since day 1. If Cal were to die and was confirmed town, and Judge was confirmed Mafia, we might look at Cal's case against Midnight and see a point or a tell wherein Midnight may have said something that now appears to have been benefiting Judge in some way, since we now know Judge is Mafia. (Note; I don't have some tell grouping Mid or Judge, that's a random example.) Cal's read that helps us link Mid and Judge would be very helpful in us determining whether or not Judge and Midnight are working together.

If you are town, there is no reason you would not post your reads. The only reason a person who knows they are going to die would refuse point blank to not give reads like you are doing, is if they are Mafia and are trying to protect their teammates.

Actually, Mixt has been safe from modkilling for several posts now. I've been questioning him while waiting for other people to post their reads, since I know it'll take a solid few hours for people to look at everything. In the meantime, Mixt is responding and is a very interesting case, so I've been going at it. lol, I figure I'd waste more time sitting around doing nothing, as opposed to sitting around talking with Mixt. XD

I just changed the colours on my vote log (I haven't updated it for D3 mind) and soo much green. None of the mafia were voted for at all D1 (well technically I got 1 vote and you haven't confirmed my role yet but still, point still stands).

 

Midnight, quick question, why place your vote so early after allegedly you now have all three members? (Allegedly meaning that all four potential Mafioso state that the other three are now confirmed.) And why Ghost first?

 

Just wondering why Midny is your top read and not, for example, me when Marushi has built up a pretty strong case against me?

 

Because I didn't see a reason to not vote? I've been debating a lot because I've not been very sure and if Judge is telling the truth then I didn't need to worry so much about that any more. That said, in hindsight, I forgot that Mixt was still an option and not confirmed so I probably shouldn't have voted so hastily. As to why Ghost, that was simply because she already had one vote against her.

 

But we still have six and a half hours left... I suppose you do have a different schedule than some of us, as you're in a different timezone, but I feel like it was a it rushed there.

Anyway, here's my recolored log for anyone interested (Mish, I changed all your "He's" to "She's," sorry about that) XD BUT I won't add more to the log. It's true we have six and a half hours left, and a lot of suspicious stuff has now happened that I'll have to comb through, but that log took a long time to make and I want to get as much theorizing done as possible now. If we have another mafia game again soon, I want to suggest that the day phases end at least 2-4 hours earlier! I'm sure Midny, Al and others would agree.

 

Wow Judge, those are some serious mindgames you played. Kudos to you for making the most of the day and of your reveal.

While I will say that Mixt still gives me kind of a mafia vibe, if we have four confirmed townies and assume that he's also town, that just makes our odds even better.

Now it's just down to who we want to lynch out of our four remaining suspects: cstar, Ghost, Mish and Midnight.


To the people who're confirmed town as of now (@Judge Sunrose @Calxiyn @Marushi ) who do you guys think we should vote for?

You're probably right, I'll be around for another 2 and a half hours but I only brought her up to 2 votes so it's not at risk of a hard lynch yet. (That said I did kinda forget just how low hard lynch has got). I also wanted to get Mixt off of being top lynch since he was no longer confirmed mafia.

 

By the way, even though it's now considered unlikely, I'm not completely off Mixt, simply because why didn't he post his reads?

I'm still figuring that out, lol, but early research lands me right back on Midnight. XD I'll get back to you later, and - OH MY GOSH I CAN'T FINISH A THOUGHT WITHOUT A NEW ALERT POPPING UP!!!

Coming down from the excitement of Judge's post I noticed that it also relies on him being the cop. I was prepared to accept it quickly at first because holy **** I'm not going to die tonight, but wanted to check that we weren't being played for fools. I've only had time for a rudimentary check (lucky he doesn't have tons of posts), and I haven't noticed any point of his timeline being inconsistent. So there are okay odds at least. I'm having trouble convincing myself that the odds aren't better than maybe 60%, but some of that might be that I was just spending the last several hours trying to think of ways to convince people that those odds were bad enough to consider saving me.

And of course ##Unvote: Judge Sunrose[DOUBLEPOST=1468096913][/DOUBLEPOST]@Marushi: First, I was getting too caught up in the today side of things and was trying to find a way to phrase reads to not end up in circular logic nonsense. Realizing that was impossible I wanted to make reads to be useful later. But I can't know what the circumstances of the game would be later. And to analyse a person I read (or at least skim) the entire thread twice focusing on one person. Once for what stands out as Mafia and once for what stands out as Town (the former being where I tend to think I see the most stuff). So by this point it is a pain to get a reading and I didn't want to go through all that to be mildly helpful maybe.

 

Okay, I can accept this answer for now, and I had also wondered why on earth you were still talking (thought I wasn't about to tell you that at the time lol) So I'm willing to assume for the sake of the argument that you are town.

We seem to have gone quiet and I'm conscious that I have to leave in a couple of hours at the latest.

We have 2 votes on Ghost though I can't help but notice that they are both by people who are potential mafia (yes, me included). I don't want it to be suggested that Midny and I are both mafia trying to use Ghost as a scapegoat. Since Ghost and Midny are voting for each other, I'm lead to believe that one is town and one is mafia. If Midny is town, I am wondering why she voted for Ghost and not me specifically. Also her reason for voting Ghost is really weak anyway (because she already had one vote - me!)

I'm leaving my vote where it is for now, but I would change it (to literally any potential mafia player) as I don't have really strong feelings on any of them. So I will go along with whatever the majority of the confirmed town players go for.

 

I agree my reason for voting Ghost was weak and tbh I didn't even check when I did it who was the one who placed the vote as I didn't think it mattered too much. The reason I didn't go for you first was that I didn't think it mattered the order we lynched the mafia, as long as we got one. Also I should say, I did suspect Ghost before hand, I think I did mention it. You were also on my list of reads but I hadn't quite figured out my reasonings for you yet.
