Mafia [MAFIA] [GAME OVER, TOWN VICTORY] The Classic Setup: Game 1

It is worth noting that because Cat voted against tale they are now tied 3 to 3. Which will be a coin-flip if it goes there. I'm willing to throw down a vote if people want me to, but I don't have any strong feelings on either of them.

Well guys, what do you think? They've both been under suspicion today. I'm fine with either vote, because honestly, Cat's responses have got me feeling like she might be town after all, though... This vote bringing her to a tie now only makes me more suspicious... Which levels me out to feeling the same about her that I already did. XD Should we decide on one or the other? If so, who do you all think? We have about an hour left to decide and cast votes. I'll cast my vote in around half an hour, unless everyone picks a clear target, in which case I'll consolidate.[DOUBLEPOST=1467770467][/DOUBLEPOST]In fact, actually, this vote and this catch make it so that I think if Cat is a Mafioso, Tale and Mixt are both less likely to be on her team. I don't think a Mafioso would intentionally throw another one under the bus like that, while I also don't think a Mafioso who sees their teammate about to be lynched would point out the potential escape that could send them right back to the noose.

 

I don't blame the strategy of forcing a tie when behind, no one want to be killed regardless of if they are Mafia or Town. The only reason that leaves me with a bit of a sour taste is letting it fly under the radar like that.

 

To be perfectly honest, it didn't register to me that it would become a tie until you'd pointed it out. I just voted because others saw the same issues with him that I did and because he's at the top of my current list of potential maf.

But anyway, yeah, if you're gonna start forcing one of us to a hard lynch, now would be the ideal time. No matter who gets lynched, it'll shed some light into quite a few people's list of suspects.

I'll admit the Cat vote seems a bit tempting, for consolidation purposes, but I realized something that made me stick with my initial decision. Keep in mind that this goes slightly beyond the matter of reads, though it's still somewhat related I guess.

So, what do I believe is the most potentially dangerous player to keep around, a quiet and inconspicuous one, like Tale, or one that has exposed themselves a lot, like Cat? To answer that, I had to compare the outcomes of lynching one or the other:

Short-term, I'd most likely go with Cat, since that would clear up everyone's current suspicions of her. Regardless of how she flips, all of the reads people have on her are either confirmed or disproven, meaning we get more information than we had before, which is a good thing.

Long-term though, definitely Tale. A quieter player becomes much more of an issue as the game goes on. It's always harder to read them, and their overall minor presence and interaction begin to slowly cripple what small chance the Town has to turn things around.

And that's my 'but-judge-you-were-the-leading-vote-on-tale-of-course-you-would-say-that' pair of cents.

 

Okay so @Marushi and you, Mixt, need to make a decision. There are no soft lynches here so there needs to be some sort of consensus.

Even so, they're on now and if they're going to vote, they should do so before the deadline to get their opinions out there. Or if they're uncertain of who to vote for, they should say that before the deadline.

 

I don't knooooow! XD Ugh. XD I think you both might be Mafia... but I think you both might also be town. I don't want to be the vote that turns this into a tie again... I'd much rather be another vote on a hammer. XD Gosh, okay, so decisions make me panic? Especially ones where I just don't have enough information to be able to make a well-informed and guaranteed decision... But where's the risk in that? The reason this game is so fun is because of all the risk involved... But what do I do?

If I vote for Tale, all I'd be doing is bringing it back up to a tie. Tbh, if I was the tiebreaker, I might choose Tale instead, but since we are fast approaching the deadline and I am one of the only people who have yet to cast my vote, I'm just going to have to hope for the best and...

Alright. I need to start getting votes in. And honestly I feel like tale fits the Mafia profile more, so I'm going to place my vote there. I know I shouldn't go off of gut feelings too much, but I feel like Cat is more-so the victim of some bad coincidences and misplaced words.

Don't feel bad. My actions (and to some extent, those of my predecessor) are what's gotten me here. Had I changed a few things it could've been different, but as it stands I'd already accepted my fate a while ago.

This is a freaking nail biter and I'm not even in trouble. Heck I'm not even sure what outcome I should be hoping for.

 

If Tale flips Mafia, I don't think Cat is likely to be Mafia. When I was Mafia, I was always hyperaware of the votes different people had on my teammates, so I don't believe that a Mafioso would intentionally or accidentally throw a teammate under the bus. If Tale is town, Cat is very suspicious for what she did. If Tale is a Mafioso, I think Cat is most likely Town.
