Hmm so that means that currently both G-Dog and Krowley have 3 votes. With more and more people actually inputting their votes, do still be aware that at 7 votes it is HARD LYNCH. We still have 8 hours to go (though I'll be going to sleep in 4).

Also Krowley hasn't actually cleared the 5 post minimum rule yet, he's only on 4 (2 of which were responding to Makaze).

@Makaze what actually happens if someone fails to post 5 times?

I'll just say something to break up the flow and keep discussion going: Cal isn't voting for you solely because of your writing. Going between different languages is hard, we get that; maybe you could even try typing out your posts through a translator in Dutch first to avoid this confusion?

Cal is also pointing something out: in the 15 posts prior to the one above, you haven't really done much analysis. Sure, everyone's entitled to talk about their gut instincts, but many of your posts are less than ten words and don't really say much.

Hell, this is the post where you've said the most (here is Al's clarification for those who need it) and all you really did was go back over people's attempts to get going on day one.

So I can see why she's voting for you. I have my own suspicions, but hers are justifiable given the content of your posts.

Joking or not, it's a harsh accusation. Aside from that, the game thread is about playing the game. The more time we spend making one sentence posts calling someone a "racist" or pulling out seemingly half-formed defenses, the more time we give mafia to lay low and fly under the radar while we fight among ourselves and reply to one sentence responses.


Like Makaze said, let's just get back to the game. It is the last in-game day after all, and we need to come to some sort of decision (whether that be one solid suspect or letting a coin flip or RNG decide one of two potential mafiosos).

Okay, so I understand the suspicion od G-Dog and Krowley, maybe suspicion isn't the right world idk. Personally I haven't played more than one mafia game here do I'm not sure how Krowley does it but based on what everyone else is saying he usually doesn't post very much. Then again, it is almost the end up the day so that is a little odd if I'm going off what's he's done in earlier games. (Unless I'm wrong idk)

And voting for G-Dog is more a matter of us not understanding him as much and him deviating from the game a little.

Anyway, those were just the two that stood at the most since I woke up. I'm gonna go back and read it again to see if I can findo anything else do help me decide who to vote for.

 

Soo here's a thought, if Krowley does not reappear before the deadline then he will be subbed out against his will (see Makaze's post above). In this situation would we still want to lynch him bearing in mind that the subbed in player might be better and we have the option of getting rid of a known not very helpful player. Or in that instance would it be better to lynch him and save the trouble of replacing him.

I mean this might be completely irrelevant as Krowley only needs one more post to be safe and he may very well appear again before the deadline. If so he can hopefully help contribute a bit more. I just wanted to bring this to the attention of everyone else that that was a possibility.


Also as it stands G-Dog and Krowley are tied for 3 votes, if it was to end like this one of those two would be randomly chosen to be lynched. I think?

 

If it should be the case, I say we give the sub a fair chance. You guys did it with me, and it's only fair to judge a person's potential role based on their own actions, not the actions of the person who might've come before them.

And yeah, if they're tied it'll essentially be down to a coin flip to decide.

 

Particularly when the previous player came out due to inactivity and not because they were overly suspicious. If the previous player was overly suspicious it's worth remembering though because subs can come into a mafia role. Just that they subbed in doesn't mean they are innocent. It's interesting to see how attitudes change between the predecessor and newcomer, for example if the same people defend them or if someone goes from seriously suspecting them to being convinced the sub in is town. That said, I'm still not that amazing at analysis so I'm not sure if changing your attitude or keeping it the same is more sus.

I would prefer to see a) Krowley come back before he gets booted or b) allow him to get subbed, hopefully by a more active player.

I'm leaning towards voting for G-Dog tonight, purely because his posts are hard to discern and they don't add much to the discussion.

I don't agree that there are people who haven't spoke for a 'long time'. I'm pretty happy with the current players' level of contribution. Some people are more quiet than others, sure, but we are all adults here (more or less) and have responsibilities, college and work, to account for. Mixt might be the most quiet, from what I can tell just by browsing the thread, but he has still posted in the last 24 hours, which is fine by me.

This is a prod. If you don't contribute to the game you will be subbed out during Night 1. As some have pointed out some of your posts were to me and will not count towards your 5 minimum.

 

So, I'm now caught up. Let's take a look at some stuff. As a side note, welcome to Cat~ and Judge stepping in.

I agree with what you're saying and it mirrors exactly what I've said before - We don't want to leave this to a random lynch.

@Makaze and everyone else, but especially Mak I will not be able to post on Saturday because I am out doing a re-enactment event at Chalke Valley History Festival. I will be back and able to post on Sunday night. Just letting you know so you don't sub me out while I'm gone as I'll only be out of action temporarily and normal activity will resume.

Agreed. I can't say much more on G-dog because you put it nicely here.

And again, agreeing with you. If Krowley cannot keep up with the posting requirement then there's no point going for the lynch. He'll be replaced with someone else, and when that happens we'll have to form our own conclusions on the replacement. For this reason, I'm less willing to lynch Krowley in the event that he fails to keep up with the posting total and due to a total loss for leads (Apart from Mish, who I'm feeling a little cagey about at the moment. I want to see what Day 2 brings in regard to her)...

G-dog seems to be quite an ambiguous figure at the moment and I can't come to a strong conclusion as to what alignment he might be. The lack of analysis may be down to playstyle but that isn't overall too beneficial to the Town. Given that our present choices seem to be Krowley or G-dog, this is the side of the fence I fall on.

You seem to be throwing anyone you can under the bus in order to not get lynched without any really reasons. I've seen people do this when they start to panic, but I believe that maybe if you were really town you would have stronger feelings, and not flip every time you think someone will side with you
