The only people who think Death Note is boring are action fans and idiots =/
The ingenious storyline can literally be too much for some people, which is the main reason some people quit halfway through.
You gotta have a strong mind and a dedicated heart to watch it, because let me tell you, whenever L talks its like a comet of logic just came down from L-land and hit you in the face.

...plus, the creator seems to have fun killing off everyone's favorite characters =/

Apparently the kids of Wammy's house were raised in an environment where, in order for them to be able to think, their minds revolved around a certain item. For L this was sugar, for Mello it was chocolate, Near it was toys, Matt it was video games, etc.
L and Mello stay skinny cause their brains use the calories.

Light could have handed Mikami a fake Death Note told him to write all but N's name and then they would think N was Kira and they could have continued the series. But no I guess Light isn't smart -_-

I went to ask my mom again to see if I can watch Death Note, but she snapped at me and now I am not allowed to even see the characters.
