The render seems a bit bold and misplaced, like it doesn't belong there, and the text is just...

But other than that I really like all your effects :).

    Hmm...

This is defiantly an improvement, but it still has some flaws.

The render is kind of... Erased with splatter brushes (or so it appears), which is kind of odd, and the top part of Luigi doesn't blend in at all. The text needs some major work too. Red is matched up with green (I forget the correct name for that), but here it doesn't work.

The blue lines going about the sig are a little random, and it lacks Foreground effects. Negative space isn't your enemy; try applying it to your tags.

I know which tut you followed.... it's the first tut I ever followed.....
    lol
It's okay, but there are random blue lines going across him, and the blending isn't so good.
That rendered lightscource is kinda "bleh", so I suggest taking that out.
The effects themselves are very simple, for it is just brushing and a polor cords filter =/
The text doesn't fit, and it's at a weird angle.
Only put it like that if your tag flows that way.
    Anyways, keep it up.

    Thanks all!
Thank God I saved this as an .xcf file.
I'll take it all in to consideration!

    Misty:
It is erased with smudge brushes =/
    is that a bad thing?

Well, one way to blend your render is to erase the edges, but there are better methods that look better. These two are my favorite:

    _ Hide the render layer.
    _ Edit - Copy Visible
    _ Edit - paste
    _ Layer - New Layer
    _ Reshow render layer
_ Alpha to Select render layer
    _ Select - Feather by 30 - 50 pixels
_ Go to the layer that was Copy Visible & pasted
    _ Ctrl + I
    _ Ctrl + K

    OR

    _ Edit - Copy Visible
    _ Edit - Paste
    _ Layer - New Layer
_ Smudge the Background onto the edges of the render

I don't understand the second one.
    I didn't use a render...it's a brush.
What do I paste on the new layer?

    She means hide Lugi.
    Lugi is a render.
A render is an image that has been cut out of it's background.

I wouldn't use it... I mean his shirt looks like vomit...

EDIT: Since I know literally nothing about graphics, that's my way of saying try again...

I wanted to try something new.
How can I hide the "render"?

I found it, but Luigi was on the same layer as, like, everything...I'm gonna re-try it all...
    I'll re-post it in a bit.

luigi is a render end of story.a brush doesnt and cant ever have all the color, lighting, hading of a actual picture.anyways as for the tag goes i dont really like it.the lens flare that you used is out of line.you can actually see it.put it on screen or lighten and lower the opac a bit.and alot of people/noobs put like the tags effects right on top of the render/stock which really makes it look bad.try the tut again and take your time.dont just rush because you want to show it off.thats now what graphic design is about.

It's great! It's just that Luigi should have blended into the backround better and the text is too plain and sorta dosent blend in with the rest of the sig. Awesome job, though. 8/10

    I do.
    All the time.
    =/
It's just that one time I put Lu on the same layer, but I'm redoing it all and I'm changing the render.

    I meant to say:
    "I'm changing to a render"
    My bad.
    Sorry!
I'm gonna use a Sora pic, but how should I blend it?
