I didn't get a girlfriend until I was 15ish. 13 is an awkward time but certainly not a time where you decide you are a loser because you don't have a girl or boyfriend yet. If you want to meet people the thing to do is get involved in extra curricular things and hang out with people who do things you like to do. Also, take your time and do -not- be desperate about it. The more desperate and more you obsess about getting a girl, the less likely it is that it will happen. When I did start going out with girls, that really seemed to be the thing I let happen was I became more myself and just did things and didn't worry about girls. Ironically, then they seemed to like me much more. Self-confidence is a big thing and also knowing you can enjoy life with or without a gf is important. I swear girls know when a guy is desperate and well, it creeps them out or they just have radar that makes us send the wrong signal. Flow with life and don't get hung up on it and things will happen in time. 13 is way too young to give up hope.

 

What does being a jock have to do with finding love?

 

It doesn't help in finding love, it just helps in getting a girl(it doesn't guarantee love)

because most of the time....no,no all of the time, the first thing we are attracted to is the physical.


but...over time, i come to know that an ugly face you can get used to and love, but an ugly personality.....now thats another story.

 

Aw, there there. The longest relationship I had was for 2 hours-a date for a formal! I am also 13 and have been in many screw ups. Give it time, everyone finds love someday...

 

Heck I'm 16 and i've had two short sucky relationships. The first one in Middle School moved without tellin me and the second one last year(10th Grade) cheated on me. Plus I've been rejected by girls 25 times. So i've practially stopped looking and if it happens for me, it happens. But i'm not putting a lot of my energy into it.

 

I've never had a boyfriend, just majour crushes on guys I'm already really good friends with.
But, my bff went out with this guy I hate for about 5 minutes and broke up with him, because he's dumber than dirt.
I'm lonely and I want a boyfriend, but I hate the way I look!

 

Stop beating yourself up, it's unsightly.
