"What makes you think it isn't your time?"

He took two quick strides and was beside her, kneeling. He cupped her chin in his ice cold hand and tilted it so she could look at him. Then with the other hand he gently removed his mask. Underneath was a pale face with ice blue eyes and hair as black as a raven. His eyes were not cold however.

"Am I that repulsive that you wouldn't come with me? There will be a plague in one week's time anyway. Why would you want to suffer through that?"

 

Daniel walked to his house and looked out the window eating a sandwish"its boring if you dont have anybody with you"he said

 

She stared in his blue eyes. They were beautiful, along with his pale face. She took in a quick breath.
"I'll do anything.. please don't kill me now," she begged.

 

Her eyes captured him and he breathed out angrily. He was going to end up giving in to her. She was.....different. She didn't try to out smart him or trick him but was just honestly and truely begging for her life. He pulled back angrily and with a flick of his qrist, gave her back her movement.

"You have 24 hours to say goodbye and do whatever it is you want. You will come back here after it is up and come with me," he said icely.

With that, he mounted his black steed and they went headlong off the building, and vanished.

Zoey walked quickly through the streets, gripping her bag hard. Behind her she could hear the footsteps of some thugs that were following her. Adrenaline pumped through her veins as she quickly ducked into one alley then doubled back and narrowly slipped into an abandoned building. The thugs searched for her in the alley but finally gave up. What seemed to be the leader shook his head angrily and began shouting.

"By order of the King you are considered to be a commiter of high treason and the punishment for that is hanging!! Don't let us see you again!!"

She breathed out a sigh of relief as they left and she quickly ran the rest of the way home.

Abbie sat up, finally moving around. Her nerves felt all different though. She hadn't been used to not moving. She was scared. She could try to run, but he could always find her. She shivered, and ran over to the door and ran down the stairs. Her dance session was over.

 

Rain came out of nowhere, slamming into her like a wall, driving her to one knee. She was surprised and forced herself upward, ducking into the nearest building. She had been in the rain less than one minute and yet she was soaking wet. Just as she closed the door and turned to explore, she ran straight into another girl. The force unbalanced her and she spread her legs wide, splayed like a newborn foal. Automatically she grabbed the hand of the other person to keep them from falling too.

"Oh my gosh, I'm really sorry. I was just coming in because it is raining and then I closed the door and..." she babbled nervously.

 

Abbie stared at the girl. She was shaking and she looked down.
"I see.. I'm sorry but.. I'm in a rush," she said, her voice cracking slightly, in fear.

 

Nikki ducked her head further into her gray hood and gripped her staff tighter. She sensed Lord Death, but couldn't see him. She squeezed her eyes tight. "Why?" she croaked out. She stepped out of her home and ran blindly out into the rain and fell to her knees right outside of what seemed to be an abandoned building. she slammed her staff on the gound in anger. Rain was dripping off her face, but she didn't care. She sat there, not sure of why she felt her anger, or why she was out in the rain, but felt it was needed for her to be there.

 

Abbie ran in the street, dodging a car that almost hit her. She gasped as, she ran into the other part of the street, actually getting hit. She felt the impact and hit the ground, groaning and taking deep breaths.

 

"Yeah I understand but its raining!!...out there," she finished the last part as the girl dashed out. Curiousity held her as she watched the girl dodge one car then get hit. Zoey ran over to the girl making sure the car was stopped.

"I know this is the most redundant question I could ask but are you ok?"

"Good Evening Mademoiselle Nikki, it is a bit wet out here no? But then again you won't have to worry about that for long."

Lord Death stood behind her with his mask back on and rain soaking his cloak.

 

Leon left the inn and stood out in the rain as it splashed off the not so shiney surface of his armour. He held out his hand to watch the ran bounce in his palm and sighed, "I should buy a helmet", he joked in the sigh. He started up the road.

 

Nikki twisted around, still on her knees, and gave him a hateful look. "You've taken many in my family, but I will not let you take me!" she screamed at him.

 

A pained expression flew across his guarded face.

"Mademoiselle, I hope you don't think I enjoy this but it is your time. If you don't mind me saying, you are very pretty. This is the kind of woman I would have as my wife," he said aloud, musing to himself.

Daniel was walking then suddenly stoped he saw lord death and a girl on her knees he looked at them in shock

 

Nikki glared at him. Her voice would turn the rain falling on her face to ice. "You wont touch me."

 

He looked slightly hurt but let the expression fade into indifference. He shrugged his shoulders and held out his hand for her.

"You will come with me, it is your time. Believe be I do not want this. But it isn't up to me. You have until tomorrow at sundown to gather your affairs. But then I will come for you."
