Looking through Birth By Sleep again

I didn't play as Aqua last. I wanted to save Terra's for last because it seemed the most appealing to me honestly.
I thought Aqua was doing what she thought was best for everyone.
I liked Aqua, but I didn't love her and I can tell you why.
She was a lot like Eraqus in a lot of ways. Both are wise keyblade masters who trust in the light.
But, like Eraqus, she relied too much on light to accept the darkness.
Sure, Terra didnt have to be dumb and naive and play with his darkness the way he did, but Aqua didn't appear to understand that there's a balance. With the exception of the Princesses of Heart and Ven, everyone has darkness within them. Aqua is no exception.
She and Eraqus ran from it instead of coming to terms with it and conquering it.
Terra on the other hand put himself too close for comfort and eventually succumbed.
That's why darkness conquered him instead of him conquering darkness.

That's what makes Sora and Riku both so amazing.
Riku overcame the darkness and found balance.
Sora also learned that you can't have light without the darkness and in the end, it made them both stronger.

 

1. Something being OP is not a legitimate reason NOT to use it. That's a reason you DO use it. The game doesn't FORCE you to use reflega of course but it doesn't STOP you from doing it throughout the whole game. The game doesn't do anything to tell you "Hey, reflega won't work this time around". It will ALWAYS work and THAT'S the problem with it, it's game breaking in that no enemy in the game is legitimately challenging when you get reflega.
Saying "Oh, well you can make the game harder if you do this and this" is stupid because you shouldn't have to ignore a feature of the game in order to make it harder.
Reflega is a stupid spell that takes all challenge out of the game and that's a BAD thing no matter how you look at it. It's a BAD feature in the game. You can or can't use it but that doesn't make it any less BAD.

In Birth By Sleep I can
- Throw my keyblade
- Breakdance
- Fly towards the enemy
- Cast magic spells
- Perform crazy acrobatics

All with the use of the triangle button. So give me the excuse that "they don't have enough buttons". Hell, Devil May Cry 3 is one of the most complex action games out there and the only melee attack button is the triangle button.

First of all, yes it does. There are certain bosses like the cutting skyscrapers and blocking all of Xemnas's bullets that require you to use reaction commands.
Second of all, even if it didn't. IT'S A FEATURE IN THE GAME
IT'S MEANT TO BE USED
IF IT WASN'T MEANT TO BE USED THEN THEY WOULD NOT PUT IT IN THE GAME
IGNORING A FEATURE IN A GAME IS LIKE SAYING "This movie is good if you ignore all the bad things about it".

 

Master Eraqus was the main culprit, if he wasn't so biased by light he would accept Terra as he was born that way >(! He also almost killed Ven and MADE Terra go towards darkness.
After that Sora... If Sora didn't go sleeping at the end of Chain of memories and took it like a man (just like Riku), he would eventually get his memories back Roxas and Xion could still be "alive" , and Kingdom Hearts would be free before KH II.
Ps.: Terra didn't help Maleficent, it was Xehanort that took Aurora's heart , he was tricked to believing he did it.

 

I dunno, Riku and Sora's cases in COM can't really be compared like that imo. Riku's main trouble in CO was Tansem, whom he was able to face and quell. Sora's problems stemmed largely from Namine, who was making scrambled eggs out of both his memories and those of every single person connected to him.

Not to mention he had no idea who Xion & Rocas were, or what the Organization was for that matter. All he could really choose between were "get memories back through towel loli" or "????? do thing ???? what is???? thing?!!???"

 

Actually since Ansem had gone back in time to give Xehanort super powers and **** things were already set in motion anyway.
