    I just realized
    Pretty much
ever problem in the Kingdom Hearts universe
    stems from Terra
    being a complete
    ****ing
    MENTAL DEFICIENT.
Seriously what is WRONG with this guy? How the hell do you actively end up HELPING Maleficent?
Could you imagine this ***** talking to you
    [IMG]
    And then you going
    "Yep, completely legit person"

I mean Ventus was a little dumb too but atleast he had the benefit of being a curious guy who wanted to see the worlds. Terra is just unreasonably stupid throughout the whole game.

I swear Aqua is the only protagonist who doesn't end up being tricked or making some ******ed decision.

    It's all Soras fault.

To be fair, after the first ten minutes nothing any character does makes any kind of sense.

I actually felt more emotions playing Terra's story than anyone elses.

And I'm on the unpopular opinion's boat for not liking Aqua as much as I should. maybe her voice acting or the fact that I didn't feel dat "Keyblade Master vibe" from her. most likely both aspects affected the other.

But whatevs, I'm more appalled by the fact that everyone at first trusted Master f*cking Xehanort, lookin' da way he does. liek, I would not even trust dat dude to carry my groceries.

And I think Aqua is a lap dog of Eraqus who just does anything that he asks her to do. Follow Terra, check. Tell Ven to come home, check. Tell Terra about Darkness problems, check. Lack autonomy altogether, check.

At least Terra was experiencing and trying to come up with his own answers, and Ven was childish glee, Aqua just seemed really depressing and didn't fight against that really till near the end.

THAT'S JUST 'CAUSE HE BLACK AIN'T IT

    im kidding

I liked Aqua the best. Terra just seemed to be another Riku but much more prone to screwing up. Ven was basically a baby and is back in his stroller.

I definitely felt bad for Terra, but his character arc seemed really predictable in the game. Though I think this'll be fixed once he's a person again. If that's even possible with how split he and Xehanort got.

As for Aqua her story was definitely much more dull, but I think that's just because you've gone through the story twice by the te you're recommended to play as her, plus the lapdog stuff PaW brought up.

I'm sure shell be a lot more autonomous when she pops out of the dark realm maybe hopefully.

I think BBS an any of the Kingdom Hearts story wouldn't have happened if all of the characters used their brains.

    Gee, you noticed this now?

Yeah, he's like another Riku, but I just love the guy! I just hope he has a better voice actor though..... Not that his voice actor is bad, but it can sound a little bit.... off at some points....

Aqua was the only one who actually did anything right though, despite all the lapdog shit you guys are saying. She's not great but in comparison she wins.

Terra ran off and literally helped all the bad guys because he's an idiot
Ven ran off being a little bitchboy and did stupid immature shit
The main problem with the two of them is they didn't listen to their Master who actually knew his shit for the most part
Aqua did, and she's the only one who didn't end up being manipulated by MX

Moral of the story, kids? STAY IN SCHOOL AND LISTEN TO YOUR TEACHERS!

This, basically. Which is why I'm I don't agree with the whole 'lapdog' thing; I don't think that's a fair analysis.

Yeah, but doing everything right makes for a pretty boring story and a pretty boring character too.
The classic gig of rebelling against your father figure to find your place and yourself in the world is what makes Terra interesting, especially with the decisions he makes, and how much he uses the dark but isn't obsessed by it, and ultimately has a strong will.
Ven ran off because of friendship, worry and genuine care, he wanted to help. But he did the anime young boy thing of being stupid and got himself into the middle of a messy battle.

Aqua just like, blegh, she should have had more cut scenes exploring her inner struggles and worries, contemplating her friends and showing like she had a proper mind and thought of things. I mean, you do expect a lot from a Keyblade Master, where wisdom and intellect is integral, ha.

And Eraqus wasn't all that, he was blinded by the light and couldn't see the darkness and plot surrounding him. He stayed in his castle doing nothing, apart from saying light is the only way. Really kind of unwise and silly of him.

LOL just realized how I sounded :'D

Retrospectively, this is why I felt BbS set itself up for future plot devices/exposition (albeit, some points establishing more questions about the series than actually answering them) in the place of having a stronger story.

Which is why i don't get why people call BBS one of the best KH games, when it was good, but it wasn't high above the rest of the rest.

Still, whatevs, combat was fun at least.

I agree there should have been more cut scenes and what not exploring aqua's deeper feelings and what not, but that's not to say she didn't think of those things or wasn't wise and didn't care about her friends. She sacrificed herself for Terra in the end and kept Ven safe in CO. She's the only one who really seemed to get the whole idea of responsibility before personal matters, whereas the other two were immature and impulsive, focusing only on themselves.

And yeah Eraqus wasn't all that and was oblivious to MX's plans but if his words had been taken to heart by Ven and Terra in the end MX probably wouldn't have succeeded.

I really don't understand any of this.
BBS was 'okay' at best. Gameplay got super boring super fast, characters stopped being worthwhile almost immediately (the only reason they matter at all is because the story demands it), story is okay I guess, but who cares since the only reason it progresses is because the characters are morons and don't act/react the way people do.

I don't think any of this would have happened if they just go laid. Master Xehanort most of all.
