Whenever a user logs out or is timed out, all of the new posts up to that point disappear.

 

Well, I was logged in at the time, and there were about 10 threads on New Posts before that happened.


I am confuzzled.

 

You probably were inactive for 15 minutes, though.

If a user is inactive for 15 minutes, they get logged out (timed out).
If they have "Remember me?" checked, then cookies log them back in the next time they click somewhere.

I had just gotten out of a thread (when there were about 10 of them on New Posts).

So I was on New Posts.

I clicked New Posts to refresh the New Posts page.

And that was the message I got (see first post).




In other words, what equation do you get when you solve a -- q = a + sx for x?
