Anyway, I heard my mom tell me that there was this girl that hung herself, cause she was getting rude messeges. And not pr0n stuff, not spam, but rude messages. So now they're thinking of making this law for it. What do you think?
So yeah if you know why I posted this was becauswe everyone here or atlast most are rude. ^_^

I thought there already was a law against that.. 'harrassment'.

I'm pretty sure that you can get in trouble for some forms of cyber bullying, but making a law? That seems a little harsh. That'd be like arresting a youngling for shoving another kiddle on the playground.

Are you talking about the girl on MySpace who was getting mean messages from her neighbors then hung herself in her closet? She had depression problems or something like that.

A new law for that would be kind of pointless since there are harrassment laws.

they'll think about it but i bet it will never pass cause also to stop cyberbullying you might have to invade e-mails and stuff

I heard about this...but I don't think such a law wil be passed, because like someone mentioned that means going into emails and stuff, kinda like the wire-tapping they're already doing. And it might not even be passed because people will protest because it's an invasion of privacy.

And like .Kairi. said, there are already harrasment laws...the biggest problem is pinning the attacker because they could literally be anyone.

She should get points for drama. Most kids down cleaning supplies or cut themselves. Seriously though, cyberbullying is sad.

I've seen cases of both males and females alike committing suicide over online bullying. It's an unhappy truth, but monitoring this kind of harassment and creating a law or punishment to enforce against it seems like a difficult task. Of course such a law would be ideal, but chances are not much can be done and it would be easily bypassed. At least that's how I see it.

That is one way to diminish the worlds population... >.<

Cyber bullying, sexual harresment, etc. is totally wrong. I've had that life before. Not as the bully, but the bullyed. But no longer shallz I return to that style of life that was unoptional for me because it was people and not me....
I have to stop over complicating things by adding unnecessary words.... >_>

You may have forgotten, they already do.

That's right, everyone, watch what you type, the Secret service is reading.

    ANYWAI,
Yeah, there's already a law against this. Harassment is illegal. Cyber bullying = Harassment.

And those neighbors were parents themselves. They apparantly did it just to see what happens when you mess with people online like that.
