I wouldn't find that embarrassing at all. I'd just start conversing with the person using my many me's.

 

I only saw one person on yesterday and I was kind of concerned because I thought I might've done something wrong <<'

 

I got on so many times yesterday and there was no one on.

I got on a few minutes ago and there was a lot of people on.
And I was so damn lost in the conversatin.

IRC lasted for about 4-5 months though.
Granted the last two months really started to drag on.
