I'm very much interested in ghost hunting and all that and I love reading ghost stories. So if you have any that you know if in your area, please feel free to share.

I live in Wausau, Wisconsin and just a few I know of are:

-The University of Wisconsin of Marathon County {UWMC} There are the usual occurances: footsteps, coldspots, disembodied voices, etc. There is a chair on the upper level that moves on its own across the hall from one room to another as well as the spirit of a janitor with a rather distinctive laugh that goes by the name of 'Annie'.

-The Wausau Club Building The spirit of a servant in the house likes to play with the lights.

-The Rogers Theatre Several employees have been reported to have been pushed out of the building. Two employees were working in one of the showrooms when one heard a noise and when they looked all the seats were moving up and down. Last I heard of these seats in question was that they were being auctioned off as the Theatre has been bought by new owners.

I look forward to reading those you post! :)

    Fout Brockherst
Wich is in my uncles area is suposedly hainted with sightings of shadows, orbs and poultagiust activity.

    PendleHill area
Is also suposedly haunted, wich has evil pendlehill witch spirits that used to steal newborn baby's and sacrifice them for experiments, there is lots of poultigiust activity there and very evil vibes in some places, there are many orbs and whispers of death.

Well i remeber one thing about my school

    Haunted Hospital

My school used to be a hospital (and so they say) and there worked a nurse, she has a small clinic room and a bed in it. Once she went to work, she and only some doctors and nurses were in but all the nurse and doctors were on the other side of the hospital. Then, she walked around and saw a boy full of wounds and blood all over. She rushed the boy to her clinic, locked the room so he wouldn't escape, hid the key and fixed all the wounds. When she was about to get like i think it was gauge or something, she turned back and the boy was gone in 5 seconds. She looked everywhere for the boy, but found him nowhere. That night she wondering outside and saw a figure much like when he saw the boy. The figure had glowing red eyes. It went near and the nurse saw that it was boy, much like got manipulated by a zombie or something and killed the nurse. And that was it, and then they say a few years later, the hospital was bankrupt they torn it down and made it to a school.

Well, in sunny little California where I live there's a lot of legends that I've heard. I think this is the most common:

Queen Mary- It's a tourist attraction ship in Long Beach with a lot of weird sightings. There's noise of children playing in an old nursery room, splashing noises and wet footprints near drained pools, and people showing up and disappearing. One of my friends went there herself and took a picture. When the picture developed, there was a face in the moon. When she looked at it later the face was gone. It was really freaky.

Other than the Queen Mary, there's a lot of other ghosts, mostly Lady in Lace, Blue Lady, White Lady, Grey Lady... any other color Lady you can think of. Mostly they show up and disappear again very quickly.

I saw a documentary of that on GhostHunters!!! It was so cool!!!!

    There's none by me...not that I now of at least....oh wait...found some

Newburgh - Downing Park - A boy who drowned in the lake in the park is said to sit by the lake at night crying, he is also said to make bubbles in the water, as if trying to breathe, and he is said to scream whenever a child get to close to the water.

Wappinger Falls - Bowdoin Park/ old Haunted Mansion site - Believed to be haunted by Sigfried who was a prisoner of war in a war camp that was on that spot. He was put to work in the kitchen and killed himself by putting himself in the oven. There is also a tree just outside of the building that was used to hang Indians and you can feel them when you touch it. In the attic, which was used as a makeup room, people have seen a telescope floating as if someone is looking for ships. There are also other parts of the park that are haunted.

Poughkeepsie - Christ Episcopal Church - The ghost of former Rector, Dr. Alexander Griswold Cummings has been reported here many times since his death in the late 1940s or early 50s. While he was still living, he did not like using candles, so candles used during services were repeatedly blown out. At one point, a bat materialized in the church, then disappeared. In the 1970s, Bishop James Pike, Rector at the time, scared the ghost away from the sanctuary by bringing his dog into the church. After that, Alexander remained quiet for a while. In the 1990s, Alexander surfaced again. This time, it was because current Rector, the Rev. Michael Phillips, decided to move the Rector's office to a different location in the building. The move outraged the ghost, and for years afterwards, the old rector's office (now the library) would be freezing cold in the mornings, even during the spring. Eventually, the ghost went back into hiding. Another ghost is the spirit of an elderly lady, who died in the middle of a service sometime in the 1910s. Her ghost has been seen sitting in a pew halfway back, and many who sit halfway back in darkness in the evening and night feel a strange presence, even if there appears to be nothing there.

Fern Island/Oak Island Bridge I do not know what happened here but everytime I walk over this bridge I feel like my legs get weighted down with something. I used to just hate walking over it when I was little. I used to think the bridge was old and I feared falling. But one night walking back from my martial arts class, I heard a splash and I ran over to the side thinking someone had fallen.

Well when I looked over the water was still. I felt the area where I was standing get rapidly chilly. I quickly moved away from the side and left.

I do know that a lot of kids jump off the bridge even though it's prohibited to do so.

The Grand Theatre There have been several notable spirits in this building. One being a former owner who is often seen on the steps heading up to the balcony. Another, that of an actor, is seen on the stage. Another owner is seen swinging from a noose from the balcony and then disappears. Footsteps, voices, cold spots, feelings of being watched.

its not KNOWN throughout the world, but there is this house in my neighboorhodd and this old black aldy died in there. AS usual, other families moved in to live in her houise, but each time, that new family had to move out, Lights would go on, the sink would run, things would move, and they would see someone in their house. So now its a a small church.

not much of a story, but I believe in ghosts so that place...it doesn;t freak me out, but I would be in that house alone.

Also, there is a haunted house behind my best friends house. And I mean behind, its literally like 20ft away from her house. And...one time, her friend and herself went in there to play, you know, and they needed to go to the restroom, so they left, locked the door and went back to her house, when they came back, all the doors, cabinet doors, windows were open.

    >.> its not that these things made me beleive, I just do. =]

Where I work there is an attic on the top floor which doesn't get used and the manager has the only key, but there was one day we were in the stockroom and we heard footsteps above us walking backwards and forwards  eep we were scared so we went and got the manager and they went up and checked but there was nobody there. So we carried on working and we heard them again and this time the manager heard too but tried to pass it off on the floor being creaky! Anyway we finished and went down on to the shop floor and we heard footsteps in the stockroom above us! and then we heard like something going across the floor so me and my mate went up with the manager and the delivery tubs had been pushed to the other side of the stockroom

Another time at work it was late and I went into the office to say goodnight and I was talking to my boss we heard water running in the girls bathroom so we went and checked and one of the tap was running! So we turned it off and left the bathroom and the damn thing started running again  eeep getting shivers remembering it all! eep eep  needs reassuring words!

In Australia, Brisbane, there's this cricket/baseball field that was built on top of a graveyard. I think it was around the 1950's, about 400 corpses were removed. They say now that if you go there at night, you can see the spirits looking for their bodies.

There is a town in Kansas that is haunted.

I think the town is Atchison, KS. It is the most haunted town in Kansas.

Hell, they even have a tour bus at night riding around showing people the houses that are haunted!

Oh, there's this one time me and my sister were in the living room. We were talking about scary stuff when an electronic toy airplane of ours turned on by itself. I also have a dream long ago of the mouse of the computer floating. I think I'm paranoid.

They say this one isn't true, but i don't know

The Winchester House There was this husband and wife, Mr and Mrs. Winchester. The husband was the maker of the Winchester gun, but the lady of the Winchester House was extremely afraid of superstitions. She was afraid, that if she didn't keep on adding on to her house, she would die. So she just kept on adding, and adding hallways, rooms, doorways that lead to nowhere and everything. She finally ran out of money, and couldn't keep on working on the house, so she died. That part, I think, is true. They say you can see her ghost looking out the windows of the house.

One that happened in my house One night when my brother was about 8 or so, he woke up at 3 in the morning. When he woke up, he saw a human like shadow on the door of his bedroom. He looked towards the window, probably thinking that it was the back neighbors or something. The angle it was at disproved that. Now my brother now thinks that my house is haunted.

    Pine Grove Cemetary

The tombstone with the earliest date I have seen is from the Spanish American War. WHich was sometime in the late 1800s. Your average cemetary that doesn't look at all suspicious.

But at night, is an entirely different story. I used to give Ghost Walks through the cemetary the week of Halloween and I had a lot of fun giving it. I can't anymore since the insurance got too high.

The week of Halloween, there are always knocked over headstones, broken headstones, one time we discovered a dead black cat on one of the exposed vaults. And the week following Halloween, myself and a group of priests would attempt to calm the spirits. I'm mildly psychic and have always been able to see them.

One of the graves that sticks out in my mind is a small little headstone with a lamb atop it. It was of a baby not even a year old. So when walking through at night, I've heard several times the sound of a baby crying. Lots of cold spots, feeling of being observed, a few angry feelings.

There's also a rather unnerving sound of rustling in the trees around midnight.

    --------------
Ghost Lights in the Town of Stettein
This is not far from where I live so every once in awhile I'll glimpse an odd light darting about amidst the other house. I've heard other's say they're the ghosts of children who don't have enough energy to fully manifest.

    -----------

Thank you very much for sharing your own stories.:)

My older sister used to see ghosts when she was younger she used to talk to this old lady that lived next door to use (but the old lady had been dead for like 10 years!). My little sister has never felt or seen anything! I saw something when I was younger I was about 5 and my mom went tothe shop across the road, anywayz I heard a noise in the kitchen and thought she had come back so I went down the stairs and opened the kitchen door. There was this woman stood in our kitchen and she was really pretty but she looked like she'd been crying, I wasn't scared or anything or feel threatened. Then I heard the front door and when I came back to the kitchen she had gone so I told my mom and she said I'd probably imagined it or dreamt it. So for years thats what I put it down to until when I was about 14 my mom told me that before we moved into the house there was this young woman who when she found out she couldn't have children she killed herself. She loved children more that anything and the thought that she couldn't have any was too much for her! I think thats why she didnt scare me! That was in Derby, Derby in England is meant to be the most haunted place in England as it is the centre, at some point every one goes through there.

Jeez I have so many of these but I wont bore you! :D

Idk there are way too many stories and "occurences" for none of it to be real, obviously you can have your opinion but how do you explain away said stories and happenings then??

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I've seen too many to write it off as figments of my imagination.

Exactly! That is my point! I haven't seen anything since that time when I was younger but I often feel things if that makes sense, as though there is something or someone nearby. I've heard things too. Wow I'm weird :p
