    Alternative :3

But I agree, Meteora was more of my favorite stuff from them. Besides, New Divide uses some of the same chords as What I've Done.

I liked Meteora best. Just the right mix of all the stuff they've done.

And at first I thought New Divide was a remix of What I've Done

Still better than most of the Minutes to Midnight stuff. Most of the songs sounded like any other alternative band could do 'em.

But wasn't it because the Rapper-Like guy in the Metorea Album left the band that they couldn't comtinue in the new style?
I thought that was what happened. :/

    Not bad.

Anyway, I'm a bit uneasy about this song. Although I can blatantly see that they're slowly returning to their meteora sound, they're still gripping onto minutes. Thats not to say it's bad, some of the songs on minutes were quite catchy. I just don't think LP will ever make material as good as their first two albums.

Didn't they release a demo song or some preview at some point? QWERTY, I think they called it.

Same here, I heard it and it seemed so close, then when I learned to play it on the guitar (since I know both What I've Done and New Divide) I recognized that a lot was already re-done.

Yeah they got a little too alternative in Minutes to Midnight. I liked some of their earlier stuff where they were more creative than they seem to be now.

Mike Shinoda? He's still in the band; there just isn't that much rapping anymore.

Well there needs to be, it's what made Linkin Park unique with their music.

Linkin Park, like many bands, likes reusing stuff. XD Kinda like how Metallica songs are pretty much all on the same scale. *could name at least 15 or more songs from them that are nearly the same*

Eh. Hearing LP's new song...it's alright...but I hope they're album has more headbanging-ish songs in it. And they better have more rapping. >->

I dislike this song a lot. I heard some bullshiiit on Fuse about how it's all about Sam's life in transition, but to me it just sounds like they took What I've Done and wrote new lyrics. So good job Linkin Park, you made some more money for promoting a hot summer movie.

I actually really like this song. I mean like more than I think I should. And I really don't know why. It's nothing unique from them, it sounds a lot like What I've Done. And when I say a lot, I mean A LOT.
But I just really like it for some unexplained reason. =/ I'm not even a huge fan of Linkin Park.

People need to start getting creative again V:

I hope they do have more rapping in their next album as well, I liked them for being unique, and if they start doing the same thing as ever other band there's nothing to decipher them from.

Too bad "creative" and "unique" don't sell these days. Everyone's doing the same ol' to get more money and stay alive.

    Yeah it is unfortunate.

Ugh, now I have to go look for new bands to listen to, or stick with the better classics since those don't get old like singles on iTunes do.

    Oh I like them ;3
I also always liked Iron Maiden, The Killers, Senses Fail, Beatles etc, etc, etc.
And to stay on topic so this doesn't get counted as spam, these bands are much more unique and have much better songs than Linkin Park's New Divide.

It's alright. Sounds too much like What I've Done, though. Once they started their pop-sound they decided to keep it I guess. >:

I love it. But the haters see it as another version of What I've Done. **** that. They are awesome. And so is this song.
