Limbo

"My dear, I am no one special. Now dear, don't you remember who you are?" The girl in White laid a delacite hand apon the bladed hand, yet never being cut.

 

Drake looked down at the girls hand as it touched his blade. It didn't surprise him that the girl wasn't cut. He could tell this girl was special. "my name?....Drake" Drake said calmly

 

Tanya wandered down the dark stairs. Where does this lead now. The Realm of Inbetween and Decisions...This can't be a good place. How did I get here? Why do I look like this? Who is she? Her questions stopped as she spotted someone else lying on the ground, "Hey, are you okay?"

He heard a voice. It rasped slightly, trying to speak and turned his head or what felt like his head toward the sound. A red and black wolf stood near him, and slightly over him. I'm dead, I must be dead.

 

"Good dear, now Decide quickly. You don't have all of eternity." The Girl in White urged, summoning two staircases. "Decide. Up? Or Down?" With that she skipped off, vanishing to go to her next arrival. She was however, interrupted by the wolf she had met not two moments ago. "Dear, Decide. Do not try and belittle my patience." she approached the new arrival, petting their cheek softly. "Hello." she purred.

 

Drake looked at the staircases and pondered what path he should take. After deciding it didn't matter he went up the stairs

 

He lifted himself up, "If you're asking to decide whether or not to go to Heaven or Hell, I choose Hell. I deserve Hell. But that's not the question is it? How about you tell me who you are and I shall give you my name."

Tanya barked a laugh. This shadow guy was certainly cheeky. She didn't want to get in the way and padded along, following the decending stairs.

 

The Girl in White chuckled, nearly purring. "I don't know what you mean by Heaven or Hell. This is Limbo. Go Up or Down." she smiled, petting the head of the shadow being. "I am just me. Just me."

 

His eyes followed Tanya, "Where's she going? I want to go with her." Desperation helped him stand on what didn't feel like two legs.

 

"Decide on your own choice. Up or Down?" The girl urged the shadowling to choose. "Come now, form who is so fitting. Go Decide."

 

"Huh? Oh, my name's....Haru. I'll...go up." He didn't want to be alone but if it was his choice, up seemed to be the only way out of here. Logic said you go up to escape a hole and up to reach the surface of the ocean.

Tanya kept walking. She didn't know if that little shadow boy would follow her or choose her choice. All she knew was that down was the answer for now. Darkness was what she longed for. A numbness that would keep the pain away.

 

The Girl in White smiled, summoning a set of stairs that went up in a lighter shade. "Go now Haru, follow your choice. Remember and go."

Anita walked around, tripping over pieces of bad influences she had during life. The sharp stings of her back caused her to move it, and she hovered. "Not tripping at least." she murmured, looking for a way to go up. She found the staircase going down, but she wanted to go UP.

Haru scurried up the stairs, eager to find someone else if there were other people in Limbo. The Girl in White wasn't much fun as company, but it gave him hope that someone else was wandering up with him. Images flashed by his face of his father and the lies he'd told to make him hurt. "I don't see what's so bad about them. They're just little lies."

Tanya could feel a cold slither through her fur. This isn't real. It can't be real. I must be dead or...something." Her black paws stopped and she wondered if anybody would ever find her here.

 

The shadow looked around, noticing that a few others were coming down the stairs as well. Were they as dark as it was? It titled its head, looking away, and wondered what it was to do now. It kind of missed the little girl...

Floating around in the background were some things it loved. Was it supposed to go after them? it wondered.

 

It was cold. Not literally, but she felt cold.
She who was laying somewhere unknown felt a shivering inside her. Her lanky fingers wandered around, trying to get a feel of where she was because this kind of feeling was something she was not used to. She felt rather empty, she felt alone. It scared her slightly, and she was afraid to open her eyes. Where am I anyway? Why is this so weird?

She continued to feel through her surroundings only finding nothing of it. She clutched onto her arm, nails digging into her skin. But why was that happening? She had always cut her nails before... or had she not? No. She was sure. This confused her. Was she even who she thought she was? She opened her eyes, only to see a clear, 20-20 vision of nothingness. Her lanky fingers reached to touch what was supposed to be the bridge of her glasses, Oh, there is definitely something not right about this.

 

The Girl in White skipped around her eternal playground, appearing like solid mist before her new arrival. "Hello. Welcome." she purred sweetly.

 

The sweet voice had startled Rashelle. She immediately got to her feet and put her guard up, only to turn to a little girl dressed in white. Oh, that's a relief... She let out a sigh and put a smile on her face. "Hi there! Man, am I glad to see someone else out here." she said in a goofy manner. But that empty feeling inside her took over almost immediately once again. She now realized how awkward this whole situation was. Like, what was even happening? Where did this young figure even come from? Was this all just some nightmare? Where are the other people? Were there any other people around? "Where am I?" slipped out of her mouth midst all the thoughts racing inside her head. "And what exactly is happening?"

 

"Welcome to Limbo, the realm of in between." The Girl in White hummed, tailing a bit. "Now dearie, tell me. Who are you?" She put a hand to her new arrival's cheek, allowing her to remember. "My my, a form fitting for only one like you."
