Kingdom Hearts II Like, OMG! Xaldin (boss) Help!

I'm having trouble with Xaldin.
So here I am in Critical Mode, fighting Xaldin. I know how to counter all of his attacks, and all is fine... Until I drop his health points three bars down or so, then he does an incredible move (no, not the dragon laser attack), he quickly starts teleporting himself in a ball aura toward Sora! And in between teleporing himself he does attacks with his spears! To make things worse, if I touch him in this 'ball aura' state I die!!! I have no idea how to counter it, other than using the 'Learn' and 'Jump' reaction commands, but if I use that I run out of 'Jump' reaction commands to counter his attack, as he uses it often.

So, if anyone is an even greater expert at defeating Xaldin, than I have become... help?

 

I found that it helps to have learned your growth higher jump ability. I usually just jump around it to the opposite side of the bridge & keep doi' that until you find a chance to use your reaction commands. Well that's what i usually do, try n' see if that works for you.

 

Yay! I beat him 20 seconds ago!
All I had to do was move and jump, duh! Because usually I would stand still and wait for his attacks. Thanks kitty, your advice was most handful.
No damage to me, hooray!

Same this is good advice...Oh and keep cure and potions on short cut option:)
