And it is actually a Sa-Ga entry, not a FF. Square just stamped Final Fantasy on the box to boost its sales in the US.

I thought it didn't even make it to the US.

Apparently it was released in North America on the Gameboy in 1990, and re-released in 1998.

It says Final Fantasy then we are counting it.

I feel like that's most Final Fantasy games, though. At least that's the impression that I get.

Mostly because the games (or at least XII & XIII, the only two stories that I even vaguely remember) like to start in the middle of the story for some odd reason. Yeah sure, it's a different way of story-telling, but that doesn't necessarily mean good.

most FF games have pretty solid stories that are easy to understand, and i'm not sure what you mean by XII starting in the middle. xiii by itself had a decent story, but xiii-2 was pretty ****ing silly and lame and strayed so far away from what made xiii's story enjoyable. lightning returns is just straying even farther away from all of that.

13-2's story is silly and more like a plot from KH if it were rated T, but as a whole it makes a lot more sense than 13's story.[DOUBLEPOST=1392064713][/DOUBLEPOST]
Most FF stories, especially from the Squaresoft days are pretty straightforward and easy to follow

I saw the discussion of this post and thought it was FFXII we were discussing and was going to get all up in your grill, but NOPE! He's right guys. The Final Fantasy Legend is an entry in the Sa-Ga games. In Japan, it's even named Sa-Ga. Just over here we got FF.[DOUBLEPOST=1392065744][/DOUBLEPOST]
This is why I don't talk about Peace Walker

Are you saying that the games past SquareSoft are difficult to follow?

    No, that's called "religion."
...no. He said most, especially the ones from Squaresoft, are easy to follow.
