I believe the universe is infinite, and therefore intelligent life must exist elsewhere-unless God made us the only intelligent beings.

Play the Halo series. Then you'll understand.

I say the only other intelligent beings are God and the other spirits.

... Why? That's one INFINITE waste of space. And I'd rather keep religion out of this thread. It'd make too many offtopic posts.

I'm only saying what I feel, and if you have a problem with it, forget it.
    Anyways...
It's a 1 out of a billion chance that there is a second life existance out in space. That is a small chance, so there being life out in space is a very high probablity of NO, counting out religion and people's supposed 'UFO' sightings and alien meetings. Unless we have sure 100% raw proof, then I can believe. There are too many hoaxes and lies about these things that it is hard to believe ANYTHING anyone says these days, like fake deaths and people lying on news. Unless someone comes in contact with another human being (or whatever) and somehow is able to record/video tape this event then I'll see. But even that cannot be true.

What I find a little silly is when people say aliens are ugly, oval shaped faced, big eyed, reptile like people. But if there is another life existance in this world and we found out they look like us, but in a beautifully disturbing way, it will counteract the above idea of other existance, which shows peoples' "We're the only one" attitude very much.

You do realize that the universe is infinitely large, and therefore has trillions of galaxies and even more planets, correct? There are currently over 200 known extrasolar planets. Most are very close and in this side of the galaxy. That'd be about 500 planets per galaxy, times 1,000,000,000,000 galaxies and that equates to... 5e+17 planets in the seeable universe alone... That's 5 with 17 0's behind it. The odds are in our favor.

I agree. The idea that aliens are some bigheaded skinny dudes that will probe you is ridiculous.

Sorry about the miscalculation of numbers of galaxies. :p, there's so much out there.

Now, let's wonder why people always want aliens and extratresstrials to look ugly?

That, well... It all started with the Barny and Betty Hill incident. A couple claimed that they abducted by aliens while driving a long distance. They described them that way. After that, many other people claimed the same thing. A study has found that few of the "abductees" are mentally unstable. Many equate it to a condition called sleep paralysis, in which people will stay in REM mode and be awake and be paralyzed. However, those diagnosed with the desease say that it doesn't look the same as abductions. There are similarities, but not much. I'm not saying that they are true. I'm merely stating that they're odd occurences with currently no real explanation.

Oh, that little dillusional couple? Yeah, I remember that story. And Mirai, the highlighted stuff was all you needed to say. These abductees are crazy, mentally unstable people.

Did you read the bold? The study found that they were not mentally unstable. Some were, though.

Yeah, but I basically say that most of them are mentally unstable, even without a study. It's probably their messed up dreams.

Perhaps. However, those that have them geniunely BELEIVE that what they see is real. Dreams usually don't do that to those who aren't mentally unstable.

Keep in mind; I don't think it's aliens probing people. Though I do admit that it's very strange and reqires further study. Basically my opinion on most parts of UFOlogy. Minus cropcircles and conspiracy theories. I have seen a few UFOs. I don't know if it's aliens or secret goverment aircraft, but I DO admit that there's something weird flying through our skies.

I do to, because they have shown that the cropcircles were man made a lot of times. And, what were the conspiracy theories??
How many times have you seen UFOs? And what were the shapes of the objects? And what areas were you in at this occurance?

    1. I'm not talking about cropcircles. Cropcircles are manmade.
    2. The government is in cahoot with aliens... loony...
    3. Hmmm... 4.
    4. One was saucer-shaped, one was a ball, and the others were triangles. Kinda creepy.
    5. Bridge City, Texas. There aren't many air force bases here, so I'm stumped as to what they were.

Most say that UFO sightings happen a lot in wide open, fields and plains (i.e., the infamous year when UFO sightings in England were very widespread). Now, I haven't SEEN a UFO but I have heard things flying over the house many times. But, there are many airforce bases here in SoCal so I'm supposing it's the government doing tests or whatever else they do.

If we're here on Earth why can't there be life out there among the stars? Be a whole lot of wasted space if there isn't.

Perhaps it's just wishful thinking but I'd like to think there is life out there. We can't be all there is for intelligent {as we like to think of ourselves perhaps sentient would be a better word} life on another planet out there in another solar system in the 'goldilocks zone' {Kudos to whoever posted that} mentioned earlier.

The Goldilocks Zone is a planet not too close to a sun and not too far away from one. Not too cold and not too hot...'Just right' in other words. Earth is one such planet and there could well be others.

I'm not some kook with tin foil on my head as I'm typing this but I do believe they've been here. If I was an alien and got wind of another intelligent species I would like to know about it. All those radio signals and garbage we've been leaving up there for years. I think they're curious about us the same way we're curious if we're alone or not.

So in short, I don't think we're as alone as we believe.

Well, what I want to know is...
If these 'aliens' are so curious about us why don't they just show themselves to ALL of the world? They seem to only like particular people, because if they were really curious about us wouldn't they show themselves to all of us? Wouldn't they try to be more friendly instead of experimenting on us during our sleep and then dropping us back down in our beds?

Maybe. The universe is big, and I don't think its just us here lol o_o (I'm Catholic, and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to believe that. But why would God make only us? o_o)

Why the heck are Catholics and other sects of Christianity not supposed to believe in aliens? No offence, but it is kind of dumb.
