Just finished working on this. It wasn't too difficult, but I didn't really use any effects or anything to make it flashy, just because I felt like this video could use this song and be good enough. I know I used some longer scenes, especially at the end, but I thought it went well with the ending. What do you guys think? How can I make it a little better? you did a nice job with the editing, and the song is kinda scary and matches the cutscenes, so good job, and if you participate on my Halloween mep, we will use that song.
well, I have no idea if the scenes actually match the song, I just went with the feel of it. I mean, I couldn't find anywhere that had the lyrics in english, or even the lyrics really, so I just went with a sort of trailer/intro feel with the song, since this song is also used in the opening on Final Fantasy VIII.
Memories of FF8, ahh. Now that I think about it you remind me of Squall through the first part of the game Aqua...least you get a gunblade(nothing like a keyblade) Overall I liked the video, I suppose the clips could have flowed a little better, but you matched the scenes to the song extremely well. I would have done the ending bit a tad differently, maybe not have had it end so abruptly, but I throughly enjoyed the amv(I love this song so that helped you).
Yeah, I wasn't sure how to do the ending, but by abruptly, are you saying the song just ending? Because there was about 15 seconds on complete silence on the song from 3:00 to 3:15, so I cut that out. I can always edit it to make it longer. I know it could have flowed better, but I couldn't figure out what. I was going to do a bunch of scenes from the different games, but a little bit in I noticed I was using mostly the first KH, so I decided to only use that. I know it makes it a little difficult to make it flow smoothly, but considering what I was doing, can you really think of anything else for me to do? ....what's with the giant paragraph for something that only needs like 2 or 3 sentences? And I plan on getting a gunblade some day, as well as a keyblade for the heck of it. But I want a real gunblade that's modeled after Squall's because that would be so awesome
For you or I? I could have said all that in one sentence I suppose, but then it just looks like I don't care(which I do, making AMV is one of my hobbies so I enjoy watching others work). What I meant by abruptly was how the movie just stopped on a dime. Had you let it trail into silence for about three seconds or so with Sora looking on into the distance it would have made it smoother. As for you flow question, adding a few effects like flashes or fades may have helped, that's all I can think of.
I was considering it, but as I was playing the song, I figured that the song itself make the video nice, and that the flashes or something would have kinda ruined the set mood made by the song. But yeah, I'll probably put a little bit of silence in the end. It sounded fine the first time, but after a few times I just thought something sounded funny, but I couldn't tell if it was just the ending or something else
