Let's be realistic here: Do you truly think you can survive in a Zombie Apocalypse?

I doubt it will be as easy as how Highschool of the Dead makes it out to be. Although, that isn't really the best example to use. In many films or tv shows, these outbreaks usually happen in low populated area that conveniently stores weapons in random spots. Or have neighbors that just happen to have military experience. This is rarely the case.

If an outbreak was to suddenly start in your city/town, do you think you can survive?

Well, I would like to see myself kick some zombie butt using the guns and katanas we have stashed but I'll be pretty weak in a Zombie Apocalypse. I mean, what am I going to do if I run out of bullets? Return to the pellet guns we have - what are those going to do? My location can be pretty fine. I live in a very secured apartment but food can be a problem. I don't eat too much but I also don't eat a lot of things - i'm quite picky and this certainly won't be any help during a zombie apocalypse. Though maybe if I had some time to prepare myself the story would be a little more different and I'd buy myself a couple more months to live.

What am I saying? I'm just kidding guys.
I'm the daughter in law goshdarn Batman, I'm so surviving that zombie junk.

  3. likely, all the zombies would decay so fast because of the heat that i would just have to head to a secret secure place (zombies arent too smart so as long as i dont make a sound and kill the power in my house i will)

"Could you survive the zombie apocalypse" is a question better worded as "Could you take your immediate family in a fight"

to which I will answer, yes. Decidedly yes. In fact, I live upstairs, so I even have the high ground!

If my friends were over though I'd be screwed, they actually spar regularly. Unless the "push them down the stairs repeatedly" trick worked once again.

I think I could. I am both resourceful and level headed. Both of these are amazing traits to have when zombies attack.

Where I am most would be killed off by the heat or cold depending on the season, I stockpile food like a *****, I know basic medical stuff, and I know how to shoot (both guns and bows).
So I think I'd be alright.

Personally, I'd go to the closest place with a weapon, grab as many as I can, keep looking at stores till I find a sword for when I run out of bullets, and take a hike to Mt. Everest. I'll become a hermit or something that lives right next to shambala, or just next to a hot spring, one of the two

the most realistic thing we should be aware of it that the moment a single zombie pops up on this planet, we're all screwed. This isn't going to be like the resident evil games where zombies some how pop up in different places of the world and they're still living 10 years from the first game. Nope, that first zombie and we know we're all dead, no matter how long we last.

Hmmm, I don't live that far away from the rougher parts of the city, so if I was daring and desperate enough, I could probably get myself a weapon. But unless I found a group of people with excellent survival skills and tactical geniuses, I'd be (un-)dead meat pretty damn quick. I'm physically weak and I can't run fast, so unless I got a car to use, I'd be screwed.

I think I' d have a fair chance to survive, unless for some reason the zombies aren' t completely dumb, but what I really wonder is whether i' d want to or not.

It is theoretically impossible for a zombie Apocalypse to happen. So yes, I would indeed survive. Now if "were" to happen and were going off movie and anime logic, then yes I would survive. Everybody in the world pretty much has extensive knowledge on zombie lore due to the media that has made zombies so popular. We would use what we know works in that situation and live.

If a zombie were to pop up then someone would kill it.
I highly doubt it would be like your movies where one bite = EVERYONE IN THE WORLD IS INFECTED IN LESS THEN A WEEK

I just want to know what makes people think zombies want to eat your brain, or even kill you for that matter. Their brains function enough to let them know that, "Hey, I'm hungry?" Hell, some don't even have complete brains, but they still try to kill. I can just see them standing there doing nothing. And then everyone freaks out.

But like some others have said, depends on the zombie. Zombies from...Dead Rising (the first), pretty easy depending on the numbers. Gas zombies from Dead Rising 2, not so much.

Zombies don't decay quickly, in plenty of zombie variations, because the bacteria that normally breaks down organic material does not eat(or just dies off) zombie flesh. Of course it really just depends on what kind of zombie we're talking about. The ones I'm prepared for(all of them actually) don't decay quickly in any scenario.

With that attitude I'll kill you first and take whatever you have. You won't be useful in a zombie apocalypse.

You know you're not using the word "theoretically" correctly, right? Theoretically, anything is possible. Including a zombie apocalypse. It really is possible for every variation of zombie apocalypse to happen. Is it probable though? No. Of course it isn't.

Anyways...I'd survive in about any version that doesn't involve running zombies. >>

Theoretically actually refers to something being in acordance with theory rather than practice. There is nothing that says anything is theoretically possible, that's why theory is as high as you can get as a scientific idea or system. Sure, some things get to be called laws, but they're also theories. There is very much science, i.e. theory, supporting that dead things don't become zombies or any permutation of undead. By that merit, theoretically a zombie apocalypse is, to the limits of our understandings, impossible. The thing you're getting at is that theory or our understanding of the world can change and we don't know what it will change to become. But that doesn't have anything to do with currently accepted theory and thus the use of theoretically as a word. So you could be worse off, but still wrong.
