Let me make several things clear...

People have opinions. Ridiculing is not something that should be universally applied to any part of the site. Or life, too.

 

I think what Nights means is that Smash should be aware that people are going to joke about it because the spam zone isn't a serious place.

 

And yet here's a person who wants to talk seriously. Apparently it can be a serious place.

And I've seen plenty of threads, questions especially, that are taken seriously. It's not all being cynical in here.

 

Okay, let me rephrase:

He's attempting to be serious in a usually non-serious place. Okay, that's fair enough. Everyone is entitled to do so at one point. However, instead of getting a bit upset when it's known that people don't usually take things seriously here, shouldn't he say that he's being serious instead of sounding upset? Some of these jokers thrive on getting that reaction, so in reality, his reaction is inadvertently causing it to happen moreso.

 

Why does it seem everyone who frequents the Spam Zone holds the same idea?
He's reacting upset to being ridiculed, and that's his fault? That's a normal response for regular people.
And better yet, why give anyone a hard time for doing something they're allowed to do in spam? That's fairly petty doe anyone to do.

I don't feel like quoting everyone, so I'll just say it. It's not called the Spam Zone because we have lively in depth conversations with actual meaning all the time. It's called the Spam Zone for people to spam. Sure, you can post a serious thread if you want. Whether or not that thread gets taken seriously by every user or not though, that's another story.

So yea, go ahead and post as many serious conversations as you want in the Spam Zone. Let me know how that works out for you.

And by the way, had this been something I thought was serious, I would've taken it seriously. I just find that everyone faces boredom. But some people out there don't have that option. Think of how nice it must be to be able to be bored. Seriously, if you think boredom is the worst thing out there, try fear or pain. If you can set there and tell me you'd rather take one of those in place of boredom then I might consider this a serious topic.

Maybe I was wrong when I said this was the Spam Zone. I don't remember needing cheese every time I read a post.
