I am pretty glad I chose this as the first movie I watched in 2013. So many tears, but it is such an amazing movie. There's not many parts that I didn't like - actually I am not sure if there are any. There are some parts that I didn't really enjoy, but that was only because of what the scene was about and I had to get over that fact that it was going to happen. Other than that, the actors were amazing and I never knew some of them could sing so well. Definitely going to be listening to the soundtrack for many days.

totally agree with you man, though many people (not me) criticized the choice of Russel Crowe for Javert. Personally I thought he was perfect for the role, I got chills during the confrontation scene between him and Valjean, and that rarely ever happens.

I've heard a lot about this movie. It seems incredible. *o* I haven't actually seen it myself, but everyone seems to be leaving the theater with tears in their eyes, so it definitely seems like a must-watch, imo.

Does any one know why anne hathaway's parts were the only ones that were dubbed over? i've been searching for an answer, but i can't find one...

I mean, they should not have been because they were always emphasizing that everything was live. I'm pretty sure that they were dubbed over (or maybe auto-tuned) for the trailers and commercial spots, though.

I just watched the movie yesterday, and I must say it was really good. Same as the musical, I loved Fantine's, and Eponine's parts. I also loved how they added a bit more to the master of the house's character. He seemed more sneaky and funny in the movie. All in all, it was a great movie. I'm still humming the songs in my head. :D
