Conrad had flung the body of the spider at it's companion, but honestly hadn't expected it to work. The guilt seeping into him because of the crunching sound. They had been worthy opponents and normally that meant they would allow a retreat, the only exception to the rule were much hated foes or during offensive operations. But the desire for payback had overruled that sense. Normally the soldiers would keep each other in line to prevent such actions. He had to stay in control of his emotions more. The only good thing he supposed was that all their opponents died together and one wouldn't be left alive to either come back with a vengeance or live a miserable life, wait did giant spiders have emotions like that? He was so lost in thought he only half heard Kara's compliment and absent-mindedly mumbled a thanks. He put the greatsword back in it's sheath and turned to the others. "Is everyone alright?" He asked. Standing next to the carriage, everyone seemed unhurt, but appearances could be deceptive. When Kara asked what they would do now he thought and then said. "Well, I take it we move on. There's not much else we can do. Shyra, What do you think?" Then his eyes caught Tessa kneeling by the spiders, the two he had just killed, she was doing something, though he didn't exactly know what that was. Paying respects? Gathering Ingredients? Cursing their spirits? He couldn't say for sure, he looked around again scanning for anything that looked odd or out of place.

Looking at the boat, Anthea didn't know what she thought about it. She wasn't sure if she would get sea sick or not given she had never been on a boat before. Never the less, she followed everyone else onto the boat and found a quiet spot to sit for a while. So far no one seemed to pay much attention to her, and that trend felt like it would keep on going.

Aston did seem to try to make conversation with everyone, something she could jump in on and talk, however the question he asked had already been answered when she introduced herself. She had explained to him what she was and why she was here, as for the others, she was sure they didn't need to know. If asked she wasn't going to lie, but she wasn't going to answer just to announce it to everyone else there, not to answer Aston's question since he already knew the answer.

Laurentinus was going to just kill the spider he knocked down to lower the danger of others being attacked by giant spiders, however Conrad's idea worked much better. That being said it was slightly strange way of dealing with thing, surprising even. But whatever got the job done he guessed. Laurentinus stepped back and surveyed the others, they all seemed alive and well. He walked up beside Conrad to apologize. "I am sorry. I shouldn't have left you with the two spiders. I wanted to make sure Kara was alright. I didn't expect everyone else not to help you either. I will be more careful next time." Ren promised.

    Shyra Bracklewood:
"It seems you're not all entirely useless" Shyra stated, before hesitantly adding "...good job" the words were strange coming from her, and she seemed to grimace as she said them "I mean, we could have used a little better strategy, but at least none of you died" she knelt by the dead spiders and analysed them, gathering reagents "Not sure what these are doing this far away from the caverns... nevertheless I suppose we should get going" she got back into the carriage "Come along then!"[DOUBLEPOST=1454449032][/DOUBLEPOST]DM Message for Darklight Disturbance:
After travelling a bit further through the woods you eventually arrive at the small village of Ashten, the halfway point between Varewyn and the Darklight Caverns that you're slowly making your way towards. Ashten is a miniscule village with a small but cosy inn you'll be spending the night in. George goes to stable the carriage and leaves you by the front of the inn...

    Keith the Ashten Innkeeper:
"Let me tell ya miss, it's not everyday we get such, eh, sophisticated guests" Keith the Innkeeper greeted, struggling with the long word. He escorted the lady from Varewyn and her friends into the inn, there wasn't much space, he didn't get many guests "And what can I get ye? Some wine for the ladies? Some beer for the gentlemen?" Honestly not many of these people looked like ladies or gentlemen, a couple of them looked like they probably came from the woods, but the woman in charge was clearly a wealthy city lady, and the innkeeper was looking forward to recieving plenty of coin. The moment he'd seen the coach roll up he was sure he was in for some good business
"Soup" The woman stated bluntly "I will purchase soup for us all. If they want anything else they're going to have to pay for it themselves" This was disappointing to Keith. Soup was not a dish for the wealthy, and he wasn't sure he'd be able to extract much money from the lady if he was selling soup.
"Oh but we do a bloody good meat pie, 'scuse my language miss" Keith desperately tried to sell his more expensive meals
"Soup. And it's Lady Bracklewood to you" The woman was beginning to get hostile, the innkeeper at Ashten withered under that stare
"Uh, eh, very well miss. And will you be buying rooms?
"Yes, four" Lady Bracklewood stated. The man furrowed his brow for a moment. he wasn't good at maths but there appeared to be more than four people present
"Um, I count seven guests..." He began, the woman sighed in such a disdainful manner
"I'm not made of money! I'm sure the beds are big enough for two people each" she turned around to face the group "We'll be eating soup, drinking water, and each of you will have to share a bed. Any objections? Because if you want anything more you're paying for it!" Keith sincerely hoped the others were less miserly than the woman seemed to be.

After a long walk you have eventually arrived at a small inn on the road North, Sanderson leads you inside...

    Gertrude the Northway Innkeeper:
It was a boring day for Gertrude, barely any guests today, she supposed people weren't travelling much in this cold winter weather. This Wintersreign had been tough on Gertrude. Suddenly a group entered the inn, at first they looked ragged and poor, but on closer inspection she realised the man at the front appeared wealthy.

"'Ello dearies! What can I do fer ya?" She beamed at the group
"Six rooms if you would, and do you have pie?"
"Oh we do indeed! Finest beef! Should I get the cooks to make six of 'em?"
"Hold on a moment, let me ask my friends what they would like" the man turned to his friends "What would you like to eat? I'll buy everything, don't worry"

DM Message for Mists of Fogwarden:
After a long boat journey, and a coach journey, Kellan Sithwyr eventually leads you to the small village of Whitebridge. Whitebridge is a farming village close to the large city-state Eredan, the most influential city-state in Tyrrus...

    Geoffrey the Whitebridge Innkeeper:
Geoffrey's day worsened considerably the moment Kellan Sithwyr entered the inn. Luckily he was followed by others, who would likely be actually bringing money
"Kellan! 'Aven't ay told ye, ye got ta pay ta stay 'ere! Who're yer friends?"
"Hey Geoff, uh, I have money this time... well... these guys have money... I think" Kellan turned to the others with a desperate look "Uh, you wouldn't mind paying for the rooms... and the food... and the drinks... would you?" This was directed to the youthful man behind him, who rolled his eyes and smiled smugly
"I guess, I haven't got much though. What can we get for cheap?"
"Geoff does a pretty good broth, goes down well with some bread" Kellan advised
"Aye, dinnae ask what's en it tho" Geoff added "Et's some kinda meat"
"I guess we'll go with that. We'd like seven rooms please, and seven rounds of broth and bread, unless any of you are willing to chip in and get something better?" the swordy man turned to his friends with this question.

Anthea stayed back while the discussion about rooms and meals started, and by the end the question was asked about pitching in for more. "My apologizes Mr. Aston. I would chip in, but I do not have any money to do so. However I don't eat much so if anyone want my portion of bread, you can have it, it is the best I can offer." Anthea said in a quiet voice. She kept her head low as she spoke and made the best offer she could. Besides it was true, she didn't tend to eat much so for her to give up her portion of bread wasn't a big deal, she would be fine with the broth, she was sure of it.

Arriving at the inn, Laurentinus kept an ear open for what was being said, though he knew better than to give any comment on it. He was learning a few things about Shyra though by doing this. What he was learning was not all that surprising given the way she had been acting towards them, but confirmation was not a bad thing. The first thing he learned was that Shyra was cheap, very cheap. If he had to guess, Ren would say it was Sanderson's idea to offer them pay, not hers. Second thing he learned is she was not one to be easily fast talked, he noticed the man trying to up sell her on things, and she caught on quickly, though that could go hand in hand with being cheap. The third thing he noticed was one he already knew and that was her controlling attitude. He felt like Shyra was the kind of person who always needed to be in direct control of the situation, a leadership role would not be handed over so easily by her.

With the talk about rooms and food done and over with, Laurentinus went to find a place to sit while they waited for food. He didn't much feel like pitching in money before he had made money, no matter how good that beer sounded right about now. Even if he could have afforded it, he knew better than to get it while on a mission. Water would do him fine he supposed. Ren had found them all a table and sat down waiting for the others to join them if they so wished. He wondered who he would end up rooming with. There was not an even number of guys or girls, three of each actually, so one person would have to share a room with the opposite sex, he just wondered who it would be, unless it would be all of them since the girls were generally smaller than the guys, making it easier to fit on the beds comfortably.

    Shyra's Group:
The end result of the others attacks were that two spiders were down. One was dead and the other was unconscious. Conrad had given her a thumb up sign, but in the end she did not really feel like she deserved it. She did not know what she was doing at all and someone nearly died because of it. after that all three spiders ended up dead because of Conrad. Kara had ignored her help. What was with this girl? She began to wonder why she even helped her in the first place. She watched Tessa go over to the spiders doing something. Conrad asked if everyone was alright and she just gave a simple nod. Laurentinus then went over to Conrad to apologize. He was saying sorry for leaving Conrad with two spiders. Really none of this would be happening if she knew more about magic and in the end she had put everyone in danger. Maybe her mother was right about her being on her own. That she should stay away from everything and just let things happen. It was not like she could do much. Shyra then said 'seems you're not all entirely useless' She was beginning to not like her choice in a magic teacher. Really who else was there? She got in the carriage and did not say anything the rest of the way to town. They ended up in a inn and Shyra asked if there would be any problems. She had none and she would be happy as long as she did not end up with Kara or Shyra.

    Aston's group:
The journey had taken some and nothing interesting happened yet. There was not anything to say really any it felt like he was the only one on this mission. At some point they got on a boat. Travel, it was on of the many thing he was use to. After some time they ended up in a town by the name of Whitebridge. Aston ended buying the group some broth, and some bread. Kellan asked if they had any money. He had some, but he really did not feel like spending it. Having traveled a lot this was one of the better places and so there was no need to spend extra money. If it came down to it he could buy the group some more food. "Sir Venger what is our next course of action?"

Conrad listened to Shyra's words and she seemed to hesitate to tell them they had done a good job. Laurentinus came over to apologise for leaving him out in the open, on his own without support, the man wasn't at fault. He couldn't reasonably expect him to stick with him and his desire to help out Kara was also logical. "It's fine you did nothing wrong, Kara needed help, I was just under the assumption the others would support me, turns out I was sorely mistaken. However we are all still alive and that's what matters." He said giving his comrade a pat on the shoulder. Then Shyra called for them to get back into the carriage and Conrad got in the remainder of the journey was rather quiet.

They arrived at the Inn and
Shyra immediatly decided to lay down the law and Conrad didn't even bother to pay too much attention to it. Apparantly they were going to have to double up and he just knew what was going to happen. He kept his thoughts to himself. He decided to not say too much about it and sat down with Laurentinus, his brother in arms. They had been off to a bad start alright, but he wasn't a bad bloke and while there still was the thing that was bugging him, but it was too soon to bring that up. He might bring it up eventually, for now he was the closest thing there was to one of his old comrades and deep down Conrad missed all his brothers in arms. Shyra had asked if there were any objections to doubling up and Conrad had none, it was again merely something that needed to be done. He checked the gold in his pocket and went over to the innkeeper, the soup Shyra was paying for didn't sound bad but he was actually looking for something more substantial. "Excuse me, sir, I heard you mentioned a meat pie and I would like to know how much it costs for a single portion." He asked politely "And what sort of refreshments do you have?" Water wasn't too bad, but it never hurt to see what else there was.

    Baldomeister:

Baldomar had been following along with the others and during the boat and carriage trips in a classic display of Baldomar behaviour had been sleeping the entire way, because he could sleep practicly everywhere. So when they arrived at the Inn good old Baldy had been well rested from his long journey from Greenbeard's village to Varewyn. The Innkeeper seemed to know his mate,
Kellan as well and from the tone it wasn't on good terms. Something about money, then again Baldomar wasn't terribly great with money either and didn't have too much on him. He found a place to sit down and could just about restrain himself from putting his feet on the table. Aston asked them if they wanted to chip in to get something better. "Nah, mate, I'll take that broth and bread. Ain't got much gold on me anyways." He then turned to Kevin who asked Aston a question, Baldy being baldy decided to answer to the best of his ability eventhough the question hadn't been directed at him. "Well what do you think? We'll be staying here for the night and then simply continue our journey. Really not much more to it, chappy. Ain't that right, Aston?"

Artie sank down in his seat a little; yes, he got a lot of work travelling and healing people but more often than not didn't receive monetary payment. Because many of the people he healed tended to be from poor backgrounds he often declined money. Normally they'd repay his kindness by cooking him a simple meal or letting him stay the night. Unable to offer any gold to cover a better meal he gave a sorry smile to Aston and said to his fellow adventurers, "I am terribly sorry but I don't tend to carry any money on my person. Still I suppose a simple meal is better than no meal, eh?"

Kara remained strangely silent on the way to the lodging. Once there, she waited until everyone had spoken or been served before slipping away. Working through her crowd, her fingers lifted the coins from several pockets, until she had enough for an ale. Which she promptly ordered, and began sipping away at, her fingers drumming on the wooden cup. Wolfie and Hawk were getting along now. Doe Eyes seemed alright, and Mouse was...being a mouse. Bi-Shrya was being miserly, but Kara had never known the rich to be anything else. She supposed that was good, but it wasn't what concerned. No, what concerned her was the number of people who had tried to aide her after she had been bitten.

Setting her tankard down, she lifted her pant leg just enough to check that the bite no longer remained. The skin looked a little inflamed, but none the worse for wear. There had been Tessa's strange flower.....

Everything she could have taken for granted, ignored, or just denied it happened. But now it was kind of hitting her a little hard. She was in a strange place, with strange people, who for some reason kept her alive. It wasn't like that in the guild. It had never been like that, anywhere. She frowned before swallowing more of the bittersweet liquid. So what was the catch? There had to be one. The air inside the inn was suddenly quite stuffy, the walls looking like they were closing in.

    Time for a break.

"I"m going to go find the rooms!" She announced brightly, finishing her ale and walking off as quickly as she could. Of course she had no idea what rooms they would be, but right now she just needed some space to think. And maybe steal a few things while she was at it.

Tessa remained normally silent on the way to the lodging, deep in her thoughts. Shyra was right, it was strange that the spiders had been so far from their homes. The question wasn't why, but who had persuaded them to do it? If someone had taken their caves from them, it might force them to wander. She brooded until they reached the inn, where she further brooded, ignoring all else as she took a seat at the table. It wasn't until Kara announced her intent that she blinked, and looked around.

The soup.....if that could be called soup, was sitting in front of her. She drank the water gratefully, but hesitated to eat the foreign food. Honestly, her stomach was still twisting a little after the crunching sound that spider had made....No, she wouldn't think about that. She would instead, observe how these people interacted. It would maybe help her in future travels.

Bryce walked awkwardly for a while, just following Sanderson. His attempts to act normal were working (or so he thought), until they arrived at the inn. "Uh......do you have the buns with cinnamon and raisins?" He asked, rubbing the back of his neck with gauntleted hands. Ow. "Just because..no one has them, so..." He blinked, and flushed a little, before pulling his helmet off and letting his hair breathe a little. "If you don't...I guess any kind of fruit would be good. As long as it doesn't look like a monster. Like those...dragon fruits. Those things look weird." You're prattling. His mind told him, and he promptly shut his mouth.

Baldomar had been a little bit too busy being Captain Obvious towards Kevin that he had ignored Anthea's offer for her bread. He moved over to the girl. "Say you ought to eat that otherwise you'll never grow up to be as big and strong as uncle Baldomar." He said to the servant girl. "Say where are you from anyways? And who are you?" Baldomar asked he really couldn't fathom what sort of irresponsible idiot would allow such a young girl to participate in such dangerous undertakings in the first place. Well now she was here and Uncle Baldy would look after her. He was more than quallified to do so, he had looked after that girl with Kellan after all. "I am Baldomar Errerim, had to make a carreer change due to some changing situations back home."

Kara goes scouting around the inn. Rolling for perception: 19
Kara finds several small rooms that contain nothing but basic beds and empty chests of drawers, these are the standard guest rooms. None are occupied.
There is one room that is much larger and contains a king-sized bed. A candle is still burning on the dresser, several letters and notes can be seen upon it as well. There is a large wooden chest on one side of the room, a quick peek inside reveals several magic tomes, mostly fire magic, thus
Kara cannot understand them. In a cupboard are some robes and a jewelry box. The bed is unmade.
Another room contains several beds and cots and a few children playing with wooden toys on the floor.
The last room of note is a large room with a double bed and a desk on one side of the room. There is a locked strongbox on the desk and a ledger containing financial information of the inn. The current page details the affairs of a wealthy semi-permanent guest who appears to have been staying for the past few weeks. The ledger is written in shorthand so is barely legible, the guest's initials appear to be
A.G. A cupboard on the side of this room contains extravagant clothing in large size.

A man approached Anthea, one of the men that were causing her to feel nervous earlier. She kept her eyes averted as he spoke to her, but despite her discomfort, she answered him. "It is okay. I am not that hungry, I don't tend to eat much. Perhaps you should take it... to keep up your strength I mean." She responded, offering her bread once again as she slowly started to take small sips of her soup.

    The
man then continued to ask who she was and where she was from. She supposed she never did answer those questions earlier due to the fact she already told Aston that. "My name is Anthea Romero. I reside in Master Grason's home in Whytehold." She then explained. The man offered reason why he was there, so Anthea was not sure if she was expected to do the same, however since she wanted to fit in and not just be seen as a servant while she was here, she thought she better not tell unless asked. Anthea would never dare lie about it, but withholding information was a different matter. "It is nice to meet you Mr. Errerim."

Conrad sat with them and began to ask about food options, Kara wandered off on her own, Tessa and Alice had joined them for dinner, and the other man, Lumen, was doing something or other. Although they weren't quite all there Laurentinus figured now would be the easiest time to figure out sleeping arrangements. "So..." Ren started awkwardly as he looked up from his bowl of soup. "Who is going to bunk with who? If we are to share rooms, we best get this sorted out before we are all ready to sleep. Given there is three males and three females that we need to figure out rooms for, assuming Shyra is taking her own room, we will have to have at least one male and female pair up. However if we all do it this way it would make it a little more roomy on the beds for the males. That being said I understand if not everyone is comfortable with that. So that being said, thoughts?" He spoke in a calm tone. It was easy to tell he had been thinking through this but the end result wouldn't bother him too much. It was just a simple step that they needed to take to make everything go a little more smoothly.

Tessa raised her hand. "I think Kara would be more then happy to share a bed with one of the men." She said straightforwardly. "She's just...otherwise occupied at the moment." She had seen the gleam of mischievousness in the other woman's eyes. "So my opinion is that she is the one." Tessa finished lamely, before lowering her hand. Honestly, she didn't know if Kara would be up for such a task, but Tessa sure as hell wasn't making it any easier on any of them. She still was unconvinced they weren't looking for mates, after all they were males in their prime. Any animal by now would be half crazed with hormones.

Better safe then sorry, she didn't need to deal with any of that right now. She continued to watch, and wait.

Kara peeked inside the chest; tomes. Tomes in words she couldn't understand. Well, that didn't mean someone else couldn't understand. Or that she couldn't use it as firewood. Or that she couldn't try to sell it. I'll take one of these....she smiled as she snuck the tome underneath her arm and headed to another room. Eh, just some kids. She couldn't really take those, though she was tempted to try. But the next room.....the next room was what she wanted. She leafed through the ledger, her eyes sweeping from one side to the other before turning to the lock box. She would like to take the clothes, but that wasn't really practical. But small, important things were always kept inside such storage boxes.

Kara decided to hope the gods wouldn't screw her, and tried to pick the lock.

    Keith the Ashten Innkeeper:
Keith smiled genially as Conrad approached
"Oh we do indeed do a fine pie! Venison from these very forests" He stated, exaggerating the quality of the food "We usually sell it for about 4 Silver, it's very good" He lied, he wondered how gullible this man was, maybe he was pushing his luck here "As for refreshments, ah, well we've recently started selling this spiced wine, our most honoured guests love this particular beverage. 5 silver for a goblet of this fine vintage" Keith didn't mention the much cheaper option of ale.

    Gertrude the Northway Innkeeper:
Gertrude smiled in a confused way at Bryce
"What's a dragon fruit?" she asked kindly "We do have cinnamon buns though"
"Excellent!" the man with the mutton chops exclaimed "I'll have one of those too please" With that, Gertrude gave the people their food and lead them to their rooms.

You've all been fed and lead to your rooms, you each have your own room. They're plain rooms with rough beds and a small bedside table with a candle. It's getting late and you've been walking most of the day.

Conrad listened to what the innkeep had said. He was dealing with a salesman here, that was for sure. "I'd like some of this fine pie then, let's see if it's really as good as you claim it is. As for that spiced wine, no thanks it'd wasted on my underdeveloped sense of taste." Conrad said, he really wasn't looking for alcohol at the moment. So he would settle for just the water. He handed the Innkeeper 4 silver and rejoined the others at the table. The spiced wine cost way too much in his opinion and if there had been something to celebrate then he may have considered it.

    Taking his place next to
Laurentinus again he drank some of his water listening to the discussion regarding the rooming. "Got no objection to any combination as long as I can get my shut eye." Conrad said simply, hell he would even be willing to sleep on the floor if it meant that his roommate was more comfortable. He chuckled as Tessa spoke up about Kara. He started on his soup as expected it wasn't spectacular, then again it didn't need to be. He gave Tessa a concerned look as he noticed she hadn't touched her soup yet. "You okay?" He asked her, it was generally a bad sign when people weren't eating, they had been travelling the entire day. And he knew he was hungry right now, especially after that fight. Wait did it have something to do with that? The gears in his mind started spinning in an attempt to figure it out.

Baldomar listened to the young servant girl she called him Mr Errerim how cute. No one did that anymore. "Well if you are so certain about it then sure." He said taking the piece of bread. "Thank you, Anthea, but you really shouldn't starve yourself okay? Eat your fill." He munched on the bread. "So what brought you here then?" He asked with genuine curiosity or just extremely perfected lying with Baldy you never knew. Though this girl seemed like a nice and reasonable person, she lived in a large home then in Whytehold? Ah drat another one of them city folk. Oh well He'd give her a chance just as he had Kellan and that had worked out perfectly fine. "Also don't call me Mr Errerim, I am only Baldomar."

"Don't worry about me, really." Anthea insisted. She wasn't used to people being so worried about her health and how much she ate. Anthea generally lived off of whatever was left over from her masters meals, which some days it would be a lot, but sometimes very little. On top of that, just in general the girl was fairly small, it wouldn't take much to keep her going. So in the end the bowl of broth was going to be plenty for her.

Soon the conversation switched to one that she hoped to avoid. Anthea supposed there was no harm in telling people the reason she was here, even if she did feel slightly embarrassed about it. "Well I am here because I got the letter and master gave me leave to come join and explore the world, but he wants me to bring back anything I find. So that is why I am here, to put my magic and rituals to good use and hopefully find something of profit for my master." She explained the best she could without making Grason sound like too bad of a person, as well as giving a logical reason why she was allowed to go on something like this.

Finally the man ended by asking her to call him by his first name and not the proper formal use. Again it was something she was not used to, but she was starting to get more used to being here.
"Okay... er... Baldomar. I will try." She told him. Saying his first name seemed weird to her, yet she did it anyways, it was what was asked of her, so she would do it.

"Alright given what I have heard all you say so far, perhaps the best plan of action is if rooms are as followed. I will bunk with Lumen, Tessa and Alice can room together. And since Kara seems to have taken a liking to Conrad best, they can room together. Is there any objections to this? If not I will be off to my room." Laurentinus hoped that this room configuration would work out, because he really didn't want to spend too much time trying to make up another one that might work for them all. Perhaps if this one didn't work out he would let someone else try to figure it out next time. He didn't particularly care who he roomed with, as long as he could go to sleep soon.

"Well I'm glad that's sorted" she stood up, having finished her soup "Come on then, it's getting late and we've lots to do tomorrow" Shyra got up and headed towards the innkeep "Take us to our rooms please" with that, they began to head upstairs...

    DM Message for Kara:
Kara hears footsteps coming upstairs, and she is unable to pick the lock

Kara cursed and grabbed the lockbox before looking around the room. Of course there were no windows, and the only door led into the hallway....a thief's nightmare. She quickly ran to the closet, grabbed one of the cloaks and wrapped herself and her precious loot inside of it, hoping to hide her identity as she exited the room and walked down the hallway, nodding to whomever the footsteps belonged to. She couldn't see properly, since the hood of the cloak was so far down, but she didn't really care. All she wanted was the bed that awaited her, and to maybe get this box open.

Tessa blinked, her mind focusing on Conrad's words for a moment instead of being lost in her surroundings. "I'm okay." she murmured, pushing away her bowl as she trundled off her to the room. She had been put with Alice, another girl of few words. Tessa didn't know about this, but perhaps it would be better to sleep inside. She found her bed and sat on it, her feet swaying back and forth. Immediately, she knew she wouldn't be able to handle the stuffy room for the entire night, but she could at least wait until Alice fell asleep before leaving.

Bryce was more then a little put out that they didn't even know what dragon fruit was, much less have it available. "I guess I'll just take an apple then." He mumbled, and bit into the poor secondary choice of fruit before wandering off to his bedroom. It wasn't bad, but he could remember his own room being better. He flopped onto the bed, armor and all, and bit into the apple again, trying to pretend it was a dragon fruit.

    Shyra's Group:
She watched as Conrad walked over to the innkeeper to get a meat pie. This was not all that interesting. Kara went off to find the rooms. She did see what was so hard about finding rooms or the need to go look for them. What was wrong with just going to the room when it was time to go to bed? The was no need to really eat. Really that was all they seemed to do was eat. It was like the taste wonder or something. They were to go around and try all the foods or something. That was when Laurentinus asked about the rooms. Again she did not care as long as she was not with Kara or Shyra. There was three males and three females. This was not much of an issue with her. Tessa the volunteered Kara to sleep in one of the male rooms. She could not help but smile at this. The room situation continued to go on. Really she could probably sleep anywhere the floor included. Laurentinus suggested that she would room with Tessa she did not see any problem with this. Shyra then said it was getting late and they should head to there rooms. She then guessed that it was time to head to the rooms for the night. Everything was so different then where she grew up at. She wondered if her mother had noticed that she was gone. There was the possibility that she would never find her, but who knew. She reached the room that she was in and the door was open with Tessa sitting on the bed. "Would you liked the door open or closed?" she asked. She did not care one way or another. She guessed that she should get to know this other girl better. "What brings you out here?"

Laurentinus had made the decision regarding the rooming and while he didn't at all mind sharing a room with any of these people the remark about Kara liking him annoyed him a little bit especially in the light of what had transpired on the carriage, he had been displayed as a man just out for claiming as many women as his own as he could. Then again it could have just been implied that Kara just wasn't gonna tear his head off in his sleep like she might do to others. Then again she didn't seem like the kind of person who would do that, just a bit more of a playful sort of person. And if he looked deep inside himself there was in fact a hole left behind by his close comrades, one that did hurt but only when he was alone and he allowed himself.

Tessa had said she was okay, but he wasn't so sure about that. However an answer like that was an indication that she clearly didn't want to talk about it. Shyra then decided it was time for them to go to their rooms and they were escorted by the innkeeper. Kara had been doing her own thing and therefor wasn't with them, but she'd undoubtebly have something to say about having to share a room hell even a bed with him. She had something to say about everything whether serious or not. He removed his armour and put it aside, while it wasn't impossible for him to sleep in it it was probably a better idea for the comfort of his roommate if they accidentally bumped into him in their sleep and simply for the life expectancy of the bed. Conrad sat down in a simple shirt and trousers to inspect the armour for any damages from the battle it had been an evening ritual before bed lost in thoughts.

Baldomar sat next to Anthea listening to the girl explain how he shouldn't worry about her. Didn't she know that saying that only resulted in the opposite? Silly little girl. Oh well nothing he could about that, then she mentioned some master "Wait wait wait.... you mean to say there's someone that just bosses you around for no reason at all? Anthea, dear. How did you end up in such a predicament? Really a young girl as yourself shouldn't be in that situation you should be happily skipping through the woods, finding herbs, befriending animals. Wow the more I learn about city folk the more I dislike them. You guys think up shackles and put nooses around your neck and giving someone else the power to kick the krutch from beneath your feet if they want to." Baldomar said dryly "Then again I shouldn't be such a judgmental prick, Kellan taught me that even if something isn't your style you shouldn't just start ranting about it, but it's an old habbit and it dies hard." It had been hardwired into him to speak his mind, having hardly any filter and while everyone else didn't exactly care about that too much chosing to ignore him he felt it better to atleast adjust a little bit, but he was careful not to turn into what he disliked so much.

Great now the man was asking how she ended up doing what she was doing, that was something that she really didn't want to discuss. However she felt slightly intimidated by the man, so instead of avoiding the subject, she spoke of it. "Well I only ended up there because my family had no money you see. They either starved to death or died of illness when I was younger. I was left on my own to try to feed myself. I used my magic to try to impress people and get them to give me money so I could survive. Master Grason took notice and took me into his home. He fed, trained and clothed me in exchange for me serving him you see." The young girl explained, her eyes not leaving her bowl of soup the entire time as she slowly ate it. "Happy childhoods like the one you described are for the well off, not for the poor farm families." She told him, a tone of sadness in her voice.

"But it is okay. The master takes good care of me. I have a better life than I would otherwise so I can't complain." Anthea sounded slightly more cheerful about that, though it part it was just another thing to try to make sure no one worried too much about her. In the end she was simply a servant, she didn't deserve anyone's concern, she was only here as a possible source of income for Grason.
