Laurentinus looked away from Kara as she approached to help him. He had been stupid, he knew that without her needing to tell him. He just wanted to try to calm it down so it could gain control, but he was too late for calming it down. He should have known. "I'm sorry." He mumbled to Kara. He was terrified that because of this something might happen and he would leave her. He hadn't known Kara for long but from what he could tell she needed someone to care about her. He planned to be that person, but how things were looking now... he wasn't so sure he could anymore.

Kara mentioned something about them being screwed, and as true as it felt he didn't want her feeling so bad about the situation. Laurentinus reached out with his uninjured hand and touched Kara's face, his hand resting on her cheek and his thumb brushed some hair out of her face. "We are not screwed. The spider was bringing us to our friends before right. They are probably near by. Tessa is good at healing if I remember correctly, all we have to do is find her. I am sure we are close." He told Kara. He wasn't entirely sure if this was true, but he hoped it was, for both of their sake.

Though his breath was still a little shaky Laurentinus tried to keep his breathing slow. He knew these things
Kara was telling him to do already, but he wondered how well they would work. The size of the spider meant that chances were there was far more venom in him than with a normal spider bite. Just the wound itself was horrid. He watched and blood dripped from it and hit the ground below. Just the size of the wound was enough to be a bit scary, never mind the venom.

Yeah this man definitely had something wrong with his brain, Sebastian was sure of it. Poor man, he would wish mental illness on no one. Perhaps if the gods favoured this man too they would help him. There was always some hope, they gods were good to those who gave their lives and souls over to them. Though this did lead to the question, giving what Sanderson was saying, why bring this man along? Perhaps he was better with exploring and defending himself then he was with basic human interaction, but it was still concerning.

Sebastian then turned to the other
man who approached them. He had a stone arm and leg, something rather odd to see on a man. He was asking if they were the people trying to save the town, and while it was true, Sebastian figured it necessary to point out that he was not hired the same as the rest of the group. "Yes we are hired to save the town, but I as an independent mercenary. The rest of these lovely people have been hired as a group. I thought it best to work together instead of making it a competition. Have you been hired to do the same? Perhaps you should join us as well."

Rayyad nodded to Conrad and awkwardly held out his spear "It's the spiders, I mean... the big guy gets his power from the spiders he summons" Rayyad stuttered "I've never fought one of these before... I guess I didn't have friends to do it with" Rayyad knelt to the ground and placed his hands on the earth. Magic flowed through his hands and into the stone, it began to shake, then the shockwave suddenly bolted ahead and struck the ground where the spider stood, the magic shot out of the shaking ground and struck the spider. The spider stumbled and became disoriented.

Conrad used Greatsword Strike on Spirit Spider
    Spirit Spider
    is defeated
    Conrad used Defensive Stance

    Tessa used Vitality Tulip
Vitality tulip healed Conrad for 9 health

    Rayyad used Tremor
Rayyad dealt 21 damage to the Spiritweaver, but with armour and magic resist this is reduced to 11. The Spiritweaver is disoriented

Arak'Un Spiritweaver's passive activates, summoning another Spirit Spider
Arak'Un Spiritweaver uses Spirit Bite on Conrad, but misses because he's disoriented
Arak'Un Spiritweaver tries again, and hits this time
Arak'Un Spiritweaver dealt 16 damage to Conrad, but with armour this was reduced to 13

Spirit Spider ran down 2 spaces
Spirit Spider tried to bite Conrad
    Conrad
    parried

Lumen used Longsword Strike on the Giant Spider
    Giant Spider
    failed to dodge
Lumen dealt 47 damage to the spider, killing it instantly.
    Overkill indeed.

Aedan hurried through the crowd of the camp, carried by the sense of urgency from the drake's promise that it would return. They had to stop the Winter Man before they came back and more people started to die. He was rushing past a fairly quiet area, and he almost missed the group but Sanderson's shout caught his ear and he was able to spot everyone else. He waved at them as he approached. There was somebody new here. Perhaps it was a new member? They didn't look like a member of the town to him.
"Who's this Sanderson?" The druid inquired. He cleared his throat and addressed everyone, placing both of his hands on the staff. "Okay everyone, I have good news and bad news."
"The good news is, I was able to talk to one of the drakes. They're going for now, which is the good news."
He paused. "The bad news is that they're coming back, because their natural habitat has been invaded by someone or something called the 'Winter Man' in their tongue. Drakes aren't the smartest things, so it could be a lot of things. I think it's a mage, and they're powerful enough to prolong the winter in the drakes' homelands. We need to find the Winter Man and stop him before it's too late. If we don't, they'll come back and attack the camp." This would surely redirect Sanderson so no creatures had to die. There was no way that he would willingly go after the drakes when a better solution had just been presented to them.

"Did you hear that? He wants us to stop pushing him around!" They laughed, because that's what thugs did. They laughed at the perfectly decent folk trying to make perfectly decent requests. These guys weren't anything special. They were just paid to be here. They didn't care much for the whole thing, so may as well have fun with it, right?
"I didn't like his story very much either." The other one spoke.
"Yeah, it wasn't very funny. Sounded almost like a threat, didn't it?"
"Yeah it did. Heh, there's two of us you know."
    "You're right."
"Alright then tough guy, let's see if you can take us!" They cut the bonds on Roric and both of them prepared to square up against him as they neared the stone steps leading to the Keep.

It was this precise moment at which everyone else arrived.

Fogwarden Keep was visible, as they had now broken out of the forest and now faced a short stretch of clear land leading up to it. As they had got closer to the edge of the forest, the party would have begun to notice the mist rolling down from the hills. When they did break free of the woods, a layer of fog obscured much of what was in front of them, save the mountains which rose proudly above them and the impressive spire of Fogwarden Keep itself.

"This must be it ahead of us. Come on, I think I hear voices up ahead." Kellan led them urgently forwards up the path. They were moving quicker now, and as they arrived they spotted a group ahead. They stood in front of a large stone platform with stairs carved into the middle, presumably the entrance to the keep. Two brutish looking men were bullying a thinner man, and they appeared to have pushed him back to fight.
"Quickly, over here!" Aston called out, drawing his swords. The two thugs whose focus had been on Roric before looked up in surprise at the group that had just emerged from the fog.
"We got company lads!" One of them yelled and three others came rushing down the stairs. He could see one of them was carrying a crossbow.
"You guys handle this, I'll get inside the keep and scout around!" Kellan called back to the group as he ran ahead, slightly off the path and disappeared, using his pure magic to Blink up the wall to infiltrate.
"Looks like we've got a fight on our hands. Let's see if we can help that guy in the middle!"

Let's fight! Arch, you're free to move/attack as you will if it wasn't clear before.

Bryce listened to Sanderson's story with all the patience he could muster, his eyes never leaving the green bottle. Whatever it was, it made Sanderson nervous too. Maybe it was liquid fire. Bryce had heard stories about it, terrible stories that gave him nightmares. But Bryce would never admit this, because it would make him less of a man. What, was he really a man? What made him a man?

These ponderings would have to wait for a later time, perhaps in conversation with the Citrus God, as he slowly scooted closer towards
Sanderson, not even concerning himself with blinking. If he did, the sideburns, the man, the potion, or all three might disappear. He kept moving, inch by inch. Sebastion, the new man was called, seemed to be in his way. No matter. Bryce grabbed the man's shoulder and used his hold to pull himself into Sebastion's lap before continuing onward to the other side.
Nothing would keep him from his goal.

He kept moving slowly until his hip was nearly touching
Sanderson's, as he leaned over, whispering in the other man's ear,

    "What is that green juice?"

Tessa grinned at Rayyad as she rose from the ground, the flower's healing pollen already distributing through the air. it did nothing for Tessa, who hadn't yet been injured, but she knew Conrad wouldn't be feeling the effects of the spider's attack nearly as much. "Can you teach me that trick? She asked, before the hissing and clicking behind her seemed suddenly close. Turning back around, Tessa was met with the sight of a second spider attacking Conrad.

Conrad managed to parry the bite, leaving the spider sitting directly in front of Tessa. Grabbing her staff, which she barely used and found cumbersome, she cast Stoneskin. Her mana was desperately low, and she wanted to reserve the little she had left for a true emergency.

Tessa used Stoneskin; 5 AP and 3 Mana to make her completely useless unless claimed as a meatshield.

Kara took a deep breath herself, tossing her hair over her shoulder as she glanced at Ren. "You stay here. I'm going to.." She hesitated, then straightened her stance, eyes determined. "I'm going to go check in that house quick. If the person who lived there has had to live around these spiders for so long, it would make sense he's got something for emergencies." She tapped her fingers against the hilt of her seraph blade before turning to the house. "Try not to run away on me, alright? I know it's boring in here and all, but really, I can hardly be considered even an amateur thief if I don't turn an abandoned house over at least once."

She joked, her tone light, before she rubbed her head, mussing her hair. "Whatever. I got this. I'll see you in a few." Kara for some reason felt trepidation as she wandered back into the small little hut. What she was looking for, she didn't know. She hadn't even really felt any inclination to steal from whoever this was. But here she was, doing what she was only semi good at, and looking for things to take without being noticed.

I guess some things never change.

Fortunately only one spider seemed to noticed noticed them and it was defeated through the power of OVERKILL. Now they needed to get out of this narrow passage before anymore spiders woke up and noticed them. That said, that was exactly what he did.

Anthea had held her breath as they walked, nervous that she had gotten her directions wrong, but luckily enough that was not so. She was able to help them find their way back to the path and they were back on their way towards their destination. Though the closer they got the more she realized the reason behind the name of the place as rolling fog covered the path. It almost made the entire thing look creepy in a way.

Nearing the entrance Anthea heard the voices before she saw the source. When she did she halted for a moment. The people that Russel must have been with were now tormenting a man. They had to do something to help, and it seemed Aston was on the same track as her. Unfortunately for them Kellan was not, though the man did make her uncomfortable so she was not entirely upset with him running ahead.

Anthea raised her staff as she prepared to cast a spell. Snow and ice surrounded the end of the staff before it fired off at the thug nearest to her.
"Quickly! This way, he should be slowed down a bit now." Anthea called out to the man in the middle in an attempt to help him out of his situation. There was only so much she could do, but perhaps this was enough to give the man a chance to get away. In the meantime Anthea thought it best to protect herself for the time being.

Laurentinus only could give Kara a small nod in response. There was nothing else to really do at this point. It was a good idea to check the house for medicine, but he knew he couldn't help, or at least shouldn't. The less moving the better and it also gave Kara less reason to yell at him. However just standing idle for an indefinite amount of time started to not sound so appealing, so instead he slowly lowered himself to the ground so he could sit, leaning his back against the house.

The pain lessened as his arm went numb, though that was as bad of a sign as the pain was. Laurentinus rested his head against the house looking up to where the sky would be if they were outside. If he had to sit here in misery he at least wished that he could have had some fresh air, but even that was not possible for him right now. The one thing he could be grateful for however was the chance to he happy for a while before all this. He might die here, or lose an arm and be unable to continue with any plans for his life, but for the first time since his sisters murder he laughed, really laughed, and that was something he could be grateful for. Not only did he laugh but in the house behind him was a
girl who actually cared enough for him to be searching through someones house just to find something that could help him. He meant something to this girl it seemed, and that was an amazing feeling. With no family around anymore he didn't mean much to anyone. With this in mind he was a little more at peace with whatever was to come next for him.

    What Anthea did
    Anthea used Snowflakes (7ap)
    Anthea used defensive stance (3ap)
Anthea used a total of 10ap out of 10 or 11 ap because her page says 10 in some spots and 11 in others

Roric started to regret having told his story to the thugs leading him forward as they did not appreciate the fine art of good storytelling. Truth be told, Roric was not a good storyteller but that wasn't the point, dammit. Soon the crunch of soft grass under the boots of himself and the thugs by him gave way to the familiar smush of dirt. In sight were the steps of what looked to be an ancient keep. Foggy Keep. Fogmiesterkeep? Fogharden Keep? It was definitely Fogharden. As mist settled around them Roric could hear the shouts of a girl in the distance running towards the group. There appeared to be more than just the girl coming alongside her.

Grinning now that luck had turned in his favor just as the thugs were going to strike him for his poor story. It really had been a mistake for them to untie him. Roric threw his fist at the thug on his left and ran in the direction of the
girl who had clearly shown up to aid him. The distance placed between himself and his captors had not been as much as he would have liked but it would have to do. Roric drew his longbow and drew one of his frost arrows, aiming it at the enemy mage before loosing it on the cloaked man.

    Roric's Actions

    Unarmed Strike 4 AP

    Shoot Longbow(Used 1 Frost Arrow) 7 AP

"The name's Ulrich." He stated simply "And if you're trying to save this town, I must say, marvelous job you're doing 'ere." The sarcasm just dripped from the remark he placed. There was another bloke who creepily stared at the man named Sanderson, Ulrich decided to ignore it. "The thing I don't get is why look beyond the borders of Tyrrus when there are so many problems within them, why not secure our lands first before looking beyond the borders." Some bloke looking way too fancy to be in this town suggested he'd join them. "If it gets rid of these damn overgrown lizards faster then, I see no reason why not, might get myself some payback for having my life disrupted again." Ulrich stated coldly.

    Then yet another
bloke was joining them, clearly a known man for Mr 'burns, talking about talking with the drakes, this guy was clearly nuts. "You talk to them when they are burning down the homes of these people?" Ulrich asked, yeah if this group was their last hope of making it through this, then they were worse off than what happened in Haven and that was bad. Atleast he hadn't lost any limbs in this one yet. "If there's a chance they are going to return I suggest you warn the townspeople to arm themselves. Atleast that way they may have a chance to defend themselves instead of being corraled lambs ready for the slaughter." Ulrich observed the absurd actions of one of the groups people and sighed not believing his eyes, this man was part of a group to defend this town, that was just his luck, he was nearly sure he could hear the Gods laughing at him as they played their cruel joke.

Baldomar was getting rather hyped up with the promise of faces to be bashed in and therefor urged the others to make the best speed there possible. When they happened upon the keep, Baldomar was not disappointed by what he saw. Seven dudes, all of them ready for an introduction with his hammer. Aston however said to not hit the one bloke front and center, so Baldomar took note of it as he charged forward, intent on crushing skulls eventhough he knew full well that he didn't have enough AP to actually use his damn hammer unless the idiots kept close to him So for now he'd introduce them to his good mate, righty.

    Move up(1 AP)
    Move up right(1 AP)

With the swing of his sword the smaller spider was defeated. Rayyad pointed out that the big guy got his power from the little ones, well it made sense, the smaller ones would overwhelm them if not dealt with in time. Their friend then showed some of his own magical abilities and Conrad was impressed, then again he was easily impressed when it came to magic. The result of this magic was useful when the great beast came upon him as it's first attack missed completely, this however was only a small solace as it came in for round two which did hit and it hurt, but thanks to Tessa's flower it didn't hurt as much as it would have without it. Lastly came one of the smaller spiders that tried to attack him but the attack was parried. Tessa decided to follow his example of melee combat except to a less succesful extent. They were holding though, but how many spiders would this thing draw to itself to support and would they be able to hold out until the window of opportunity appeared? They had to try, Conrad swung his sword and moved back to a defensive position "Rayyad, keep the pressure on."

Conrad used Greatsword strike at spider number II then defensive position.

There was not much to do. The spider was dead and now it was time to move on. They could always fight off all of the spiders, but it was not met to be. With nothing else to do she walked towards the open door on the other side of the cave. She stood at the door and waited for plot to carry them onto whatever RelativelySane king of Necromancy, had in store.

They rounded a corner and Fogwarden Keep became visible. The forest was now behind them. As they continued there way towards Fogwarden keep the mist rolling down from the hills started. The sounds of people could be heard up ahead. Kellan then went ahead to scout around. He wondered if the man knew how to fight. The only skill Kellan seemed to have was running away. He wondered if Kellan was up to something maybe he want what was in Fogwarden keep for himself. There seemed to be people here. Assassins from the group that Russel was apart of. He knew what would happen if they did not act to soon all to well. The fight was on now. The fog would be a good cover for him to move around. Moving quickly but stethy he mad his way to a burning blade thug and used his dagger on the thug. That was when he moved down using the fog as cover. This fog was a good place to hide. What ever you could use as an advantage was nothing but a good thing. He wondered who this mystery person was with the thugs.

    Big Game Hunting
Sanderson listened patiently to Aedan, and his words alarmed him. He was surprised that Aedan was able to talk to the drakes, although he had heard of people of the woods being able to communicate with animals. Out of the corner of his eye he noticed Bryce slowly approaching with determination and a gaze fixed on the man. That was odd, but Sanderson remained focussed on Aedan and the newcomer Ulrich "If that is the case this would certainly be an adventure, old chap!" Sanderson said to Aedan "Now Ulrich my good man, be fair, we've only just arrived" Sanderson noticed Bryce moving unblinkingly towards him, shoving past Sebastien "Certainly we can help in liberating the town from the drakes, as well as finding this mysterious "Winter Man" tomorrow, old sport. Although I would advise you not to chase vengeance, it never ends well" Sanderson warned Ulrich. Bryce was getting closer. "Now I think it's about time we all had a good long rest and prepared ourselves for tomorrow..." that was when Bryce whispered in his ear. There were a few moments of silence as Sanderson slowly turned his head to face Bryce. Sanderson's face was expressionless, with a hint of fear. When suddenly it broke out into a grin and a chuckle "Nothing more than something Esford back in Varewyn cooked up for me old sport. It'll help with my insomnia. I do sometimes have trouble sleeping" Sanderson said calmly, but there was the nagging feeling at the back of his mind. What he said was true, but he really didn't want to go into detail about why he had trouble sleeping. "Let's test how well it works!" Sanderson downed the potion and immediately fell to the ground asleep.

Night happened and everyone slept in their tents. Unless you don't want to. I'm a timeskip, not a cop.
Sanderson stood up and stretched, yawning as the sun broke over the horizon
"I tell you chaps" he stated "That was the best night's sleep I've had in a long time" as he spoke Sanderson readied his rifle and slung it over his shoulder. "Well chaps, are we ready?"

What the f*ck, what the serious f*ck was going on. The man was climbing over him like he wasn't there. Who did that. He thought the man was a little messed up, but this was too much for his taste. He was almost starting to regret being there. Was it seriously that important that he was next to the man who called himself Sanderson? If Bryce had just asked he would have moved, but instead he had to climb over him. This was getting just a little too messed up.

    Moving away from
Bryce slightly, Sebastian say and listened to what all was going on. In all honesty he was not sure what side of things he was on. Killing all the drakes would ensure the towns safety, but if there was away to do something for them to make them stop attacking the town, that might be just as good of an option. That being said there was no promises that later the Drakes wouldn't come back and attack the town again the next time someone made them mad. It did leave them in an interesting predicament. Perhaps finding the Winter Man would be a good start to see what side that they should be on. Sanderson seemed to be on the same page, so Sebastian didn't bother to speak up.

"Thank you for the meal. I look forward to our adventures tomorrow with the drakes. Goodnight." Sebastian stated. He however chose not to sleep in a tent, but instead outside on the ground next to his horse which had also curled itself on the ground to sleep for the night. When there was no hotel to sleep in that was what he often did, no use changing it now.

When morning came Sebastian arose at the sound of
Sanderson's voice. It was time for their little adventure it seemed and for him to complete the job he was hired to do. "I myself am ready to go. My the Guardian favour you all on this fine day. I have a feeling that his light shines on us and our adventures." Sebastian stated before mounting his horse preparing to go.

Bryce was standing on his feet when Sanderson and Sebastion both arose. He had been staring at the same spot for the last two hours, hoping desperately that someone would come to relieve him of his watch. It hadn't occurred to the man that Sanderson hadn't asked anyone else to take second, or third, or even fourth watch. It also hadn't occurred to Bryce that he should be the one to wake someone up.

    Instead, when
Sanderson had downed the potion, Bryce patted his forehead, with a "Sleep well, little sideburns." Before taking his position to guard over the camp. And waiting. And waiting. No wonder northerners are so grumpy all the time. Their nights are so long.

Bryce walked around a little bit every so often, swinging his arms until he accidentally smacked his hand against the side of a tree. While nursing the growing bruise, he tripped over a root in the darkness, nearly twisting his ankle. After that, the Citrus Worshipper decided that remaining in one place was the best practice. And thus he waited some more, for the replacement watch that never came. This fact didn't dawn on him until the sun was quite literally dawning on him, and when Bryce turned reddened eyes, underscored by the purple shadows underneath his eyes, he realized at last what had happened.

He struggled to narrow his eyes, but nearly fell asleep in the process.
I see what you've done, sideburns. Keeping Sanderson in late so I would have to stay up all night. Make me tired so I couldn't watch you. Well, I'll show you.

He gave away no hint towards the inner thought process, instead leaning tiredly on
Sebastion's horse, not really mindful of whether the creature cared for the interaction or not. In fact, the horse was much more comfortable then a tree or a post would have been. "Nothing attacked the camp during the night." He said hoarsely (get it?), his hand accidentally finding its way to Sebastion's thigh. "Sorry. But your legs are quite nice." He told the man before stumbling towards a place by the fire and sitting down. Even for a moment. "I'm ready when you are." He told Sanderson with a sleepy hand wave as his eyes slowly closed.

"So, you're telling me to just bend over and take it? Oh no, I haven't lost an arm to just let these kind of things happen to me, I will fight to defend myself and while not let the perpetrators get away unpunished." Ulrich stated, apparantly Sanderson was an insomniac, gathered from the potion and what the man had said about it. He himself didn't need it, he sat down near the fire, folding his legs as if meditating and fell sleep like that, sleeping like a rock. When the morning came to them and the first rays of sunlight landed on Ulrich, his eyes immediately jumped open. Sanderson asked them if they were all ready to go, when the fancy bloke started spouting **** about the Guardian. "I don't know who you're talking about, but if it's that one God then look around you, there are no gods, no one will save us unless we do it ourselves. It's that simple." Ulrich said as he got up then turned to Sanderson "Ready." It was time for the counter-attack, he would not relent for the defense of this village.

Sanderson smiled at Sebastien's comment about the gods favouring them and kept his skepticism to himself. Ulrich, however, seemed not like one to stay silent. Suddenly something struck him "By the five realms, Bryce, were you up all night?!" Sanderson asked with worry "My good man I'm so sorry! I completely forgot to assign someone to do other watches! Please forgive me!" he pleaded with the man. He was really genuinely worred, he'd been so distracted he hadn't paid attention to the welfare of those he was supposed to be protecting.

Bryce blinked, his eyes doing funny things. Maybe when he had hurt his wrist he had somehow hurt his head too. "I think it's okay. I haven't slept before. I mean..." When was the last time he hadn't slept? It must have been a long time ago, because he found he couldn't remember. "I'll sleep tonight. Or tomorrow. Whatever the next time we sleep is." He waved a hand carelessly, nearly falling over from where he was sitting because of it.

"I won't let you beat me." He muttered, nearly inaudibly to the sideburns that taunted him with their well rested curls.

"Nevertheless, old chap! I am sincerely sorry" Sanderson stated, patting the manchild on the back. Sanderson turned to the rest of the group. "Right, ladies and gentlemen, we're going to split into two groups. One group will come with me to talk to this mage and try to investigate about this "Winter Man". The second group will help the city guard defend against the drakes. So chaps, which'll it be?"

Bryce grinned sleepily at Sanderson before raising his hand. "I vote drakes." he said, his voice low. "I want to help people not die." Having spoken so eloquently, he then lowered his hand, letting his head drop onto his chest as he caught a small amount of sleep while waiting for the others in the group to post decide where they would go.

Kara's hand knocked against a bottle, and she grabbed it before it fell instinctively, her eyes flashing towards the object. It was a clear potion bottle, stoppered and filled with some sort of green liquid. She sighed, trying to examine it. Well...better then nothing? Kara wouldn't have drank it to save her life, but it was a good thing Ren didn't have to drink it.

She turned and darted back out of the house, kneeling down by
Ren's side again. "So, I found this stuff. And since it's green, which is the color of healing and spring and good things, we're going to dump it on the wound. No, you don't get a say." She said, frowning. "Since you patted the spider, you get to hope that this doesn't make it worse. And I'll hope too." She added as an afterthought, before opening the bottle, setting the stopper down beside her. She might need the bottle for something after she was done with it.

Turning the bottle upside down, she dumped the green liquid towards his wound. "Bottoms up,
    Spider Whisperer."

Rayyad smiled to his friends and nodded. Were they his friends? They must be now, even though he'd kidnapped them... and threatened to lock them up in the caves... oh well. He ran forward, if he knew anything about the Spiritweavers it was that they weren't great at close combat. He spun with his spear and struck at the beast.

    Rayyad moved two spaces forward
    Rayyad used Longspear Strike
    Spiritweaver failed to parry
    Longspear Strike dealt 30 damage
He then moved downwards by 1

Spiritweaver used Spirit Bite on Rayyad
    Spirit Bite dealt 14 damage

    Spirit Spider 1 attacked Rayyad
    Rayyad Parried

Rayyad was hardly done with his attack when suddenly a magical pair of fangs lunged towards him and the spider's spirit bite bit him on the arm. He hissed in pain and held his arm, but looked up just in time to see the translucent spiritual spider slash at him. Quickly he moved his spear in the way and knocked away the spider's sharp limbs. "It must be getting low on mana, go in!" Rayyad gestured to the titanic spider which was gradually getting weakened.

    Arak'Un, Rayyad's House

The potion is painful, very very painful, but you can notice that the wound is closing and the pain from the poison is lessening.

In the silence Laureninus let his shoulders relax slightly. He didn't know what was going to happen to him, but he had to at least relax a little for now. It was the only thing that would help for now. He was stuck waiting, waiting to see if someone showed up to help, or if Kara came up with anything helpful while searching the house. It was all a waiting game now for him and he hated it.

Thankfully it wasn't too long before
Kara exited the house, a bottle of green liquid in hand. She knelt beside him and told him what was going on, not giving him an option to say anything. He honestly didn't know if he would have protested or not. He was suspicious of it, and Kara's reasoning for using it was flawed. That being said they were running out of options as his arm was changing colour. He only gave Kara a small nod before she poured the liquid on his wound.

As the liquid soaked into his wound Laurnetinus clenched his fists tight and let out a cry of pain. He ended up gripping his left hand around the wrist of his right, injured and holding it as it shook. He didn't expect anything to be this painful. Surely she found something very very bad in that house. However as he managed to open his eyes and look at his throbbing hand, the wound began to close. Relief filled him as some of the pain subsided. He would hug
Kara but it still hurt a bit too much for that. He couldn't even manage to bother speaking yet as he watched the wound start to close.

"Sure there is a God, my good man. Things may seem bad here but he has now sent me to fix things around here. Unfortunately I cannot be at all places at once so I was not able to protect the people from the first attack, but that does not mean that there is no God. You must just look and find one for yourself." Sebastian replied to Ulrich.

Meanwhile it took all his muscle to keep his horse from moving or kicking at
Bryce who thought it was a great idea to lean against the damn thing. "I understand that you are not all there, but can you not lean on my horse. You must understand it is very dangerous thing to do." Sebastian explained looking down at the man with sympathetic eyes.

With that out of the way Sebastian turned to
Sandersan who was asking about groups and where people wanted to go. "I will stick with staying and protecting the town, after all that is what I was first hired to do, I should not abandon that task. You understand do you not?" Sebastian told him. As much as he wouldn't mind getting away from Bryce, he had his task at hand. Mercenaries never abandoned what they were hired to do,

Arthur was nervous, particularly towards Badun. Whereas the group had fought before and handled themselves well Badun had not been with them and so they had no idea how well he could fight. In any case Arthur's natural reaction to fighting was to help defend others and heal them so he made up his mind to defend Badun, for now at least.
