They had traveled by foot to the Inn where they had stayed the night, a comfort to Panola as the sights of this new land where hers to see up close. In the morning, Panola had come to find that the others in her group were acting in a way she only seen among children in her tribe and never grown adults, as they yelled and shouted and seemed to make fun of each other. She saw the Innkeeper, who seemed to have the power to keep order here and stop the chaos of others. There was already much violence between the Keeper and Flint and Bryce. She also noticed that the Keeper seemed to value cups and other possessions more then the wrist of the Blacksmith.

When Sanderson spoke about anger, she wondered if it was necessary to jump in with her own words of wisdom. Sanderson also had a way of being able to stop chaos, and how Aedan had replied to him with an apologize. Immediately, she saw a skill she wished to take back with her once she went home someday, and so she watched him. She then from Aedan the maturity she had expected from an adult of his nature, and smiled at him kindly as it was her way of acknowledging a child's good behavior. She stopped for a second to wonder if it was condescending, but she brushed the thought away since the meaning it had to her would probably be lost on him.

"I just came to look around." Lumen said. He looked at each weapon, giving each one some attention before his eyes landed on the longsword. The fact that it was magical certainly did catch his attention. Another thing that caught his attention was someone calling out his name. He turned to see that Alice had caught up to him and was out of breath. "You okay there?"

After looking down the beginning of the road then walking back there was not much to do other then to go back to looking for clues there was not much elce to do at this point. So there was two signs with one letter each an 'M' and an 'F'. Bother were just as likely to take them to there direction. "The M way or the F. F as in Fogwarden keep or M. There is a M in tomb so the 'M' could be pointing out the direction to the tomb of Fogwarden." Finding another letter had not been that helpful at all. He looked down the left road again. On the left side was detached along with a pile of stones which may have been pieces of wall. They wanted to go towards the mountains so the wanted to go on the path that was more rocky and seemed to go up the mountain, which seemed like the left path, that said the 'M' on the right path, there was something more to it then what it seemed. He then bent down on the right path to get a closer look of it. People would want to go away from the mountain unless they knew there was valuable treasure in the mountains.

She stood there a moment trying to get her breath back. "Tessa, Conrad, spider person, giant spider. Taken towards the Darklight Caverns." She was finally able to get her breath. "They need help Lumen lets get going. Tessa and cconrad were taken by a spider person and a giant spider. There is no time to waste." She hoped that she picked the right store to get help in. Anyone was better then Shyra at this point. With her attitude she was not sure going to her was the best idea. She was to tired of being the one that could not help anyone, now was her chance to help two people to do something that was worth it.

Baldomar couldn't believe the absolute idiocy that the people he had been along with this mission. Well Anthea wasn't too bad she just needed some more education and enlightenment. She was merely a bit lost, but no fear the great Baldomar would be her mentor and help the young girl along the path of life. But Kevin really was a bloody mouthbreathing numbskull. He went over to Artie and picked up the sign he had just chucked at him and walked back over to Kevin. Pressing the sign into his face. "Do you see this? Can you read, boy? This says F for Fogwarden." Baldomar stated irritatedly. "If they're gonna put a single letter on a sign why pick a random letter in the goddamn name. I mean really by that logic they could put any ****ing letter on there with the intention of refering to Fogwarden Keep. So seriously use the bloody brain your parents gave you, unless they forgot to include that when they made you. If they're gonna put on letter on a sign they pick the first not some random one. So please think before you speak, it'll save us all the time we try and fathom how you can even come up with that sort of stupid things." Baldomar said pressing the sign into Kevin's face several times to make a point. He then tossed it to Kellan with the intention of him catching it "I say we go left before this little man here has another stupid theory." He really wanted to get going and not waste more time on these bloody crossroads

Rayyad sulked sulkingly. He'd thought he'd found some friends, but they just had to run away when he threatened to imprison them. Honestly, some people. So what if he lied? He just wanted to get out, maybe then he could escape the part of him he hated. No. This part of me will always stay, this is the true me, I am the Webber Prince. Momentarily Rayyad's eyes glowed green I should go down into the mines, my destiny awaits with Azjol. The caverns... the caverns... there's somebody there... Tessa! Rayyad shot up suddenly. Tessa was going into the caverns alone! Didn't she understand? It was dangerous! For once, The Webber Prince's telepathic powers had worked to his advantage, he had sensed her presence by the cave mouth, surrounded by danger. Suddenly Rayyad noticed Conrad coming back, he quickly ran over to the man, arms waving "Conrad, Conrad! We have to go help Tessa! She's gone to the mines alone! That's where the spider nests are, they'll attack her! They're super territorial!" he said nervously

    Meanwhile at the mine entrance

The spiders hissed as Tessa approached, two dark spiders approached with glowing red eyes, they did not look particularly friendly and began to approach

'This says F for Fogwarden' "F could stand for anything. You need to think things though." 'They're gonna put a single letter on a sign why pick a random letter in the goddamn name.' "I do not think they put a single letter on a sign no one does that. The sign is old the other letters if there are any worn out long ago." Anyone that could see could see the sign was old. Clearly the man was blind and needed it pointed out to him. Signs that started with F were Falling rocks, Farm, Fall. Really it could be anything. 'I mean really by that logic they could put any letter' "You are starting to show some smarts now. The letter could be anything. Just because there is a F on a sign does not mean it goes to Fogwarden. There are other words that start with F" 'So seriously use the bloody brain your parents gave you' "I am unlike you. I am trying to think this though unlike you. The wrong choice could get someone killed. The more time spent figuring the path out now will be better in the long run. We pick the wrong path and that is time we wasted, just because some sign had the letter F on it." This man had no clue who is was dealing with. "I am far more experienced then you think. I have seen things go wrong, people die because of something stupid like not thinking things though. So instead of pushing a sign in someone's face you stop and help look for more clues." That was not to say there was any or not, but it was worth looking. If this man wanted respect he would have to earn it. When you treat people like garbage then that what you will get in return so he had no excuse on that. This man was going to get himself or other killed not thinking things though. He was not going to be apart of it. Both directions were equally the correct way to go at this point and finding something more would be helpful here. He looked at the path moving away from Baldomar he hoped no one else would get his stupid. The roads should have some other clue. Tacks from other humans, rocks or a broken path. Even animals of some sort should be up here.

He already said and thought the F road would be the mountain way, but he was looking for more clues to confirm this. The F road had more rocks on it which generally met more mountainous.

Conrad had wandered through the city trying to find his way again back to the small house that Rayyad had been occupying. It took him longer than he would have liked getting turned around in the twisting streets of the ruined city. When he had found his way back and ran into Rayyad the man came running to him flailing his arms. He sounded worried, extremely worried and when the words had sunk into the White Cape soldier he understood clearly the danger she was in. He cursed softly and looked at Rayyad. "Lead the way, there is no time to lose." Conrad said, his voice filled with worry. Damn, that naive girl. He knew she would be pissed at him still, but maybe she would see that he meant well and not curse him for it. Then again, let her curse his name as long as his teammate didn't die and he could prevent her death then he didn't care too much what else would happen. "Rayyad, I'm sorry for getting so pissed, I'll help you out with the totem, if you help me with making sure Tessa isn't gonna end up in several detached pieces." Conrad said as he followed Rayyad to where they were headed.

Tessa hesitated, her neck prickling, and then she clenched her fists. She could do this. She had lived on her own for years. She had dealt with spiders before. "I'm sorry." She spoke quietly, keeping her stance relaxed, doing everything she could to keep from looking like a threat. "I'm sorry, but I need to get by you. If you want, you can follow me..." She paused, well aware that the spiders couldn't understand her, but hoping the tone of her voice somehow got through.

"Please, I'm trying to help someone in my clan. I just need to get by, I swear I won't touch anything or hurt anyone. I just need to help
    Rayyad."

She took a leap of faith, and outstretched her hand towards the spider that was closest, hoping something had gotten though.

"Second ri-" Her question was cut off as the horse leaped forward. Kara squealed like a five year old girl, much to her shame, and grabbed at the horse's mane, anything to keep from bouncing off. The rhythm was terrifying, and despite having Ren's arms around her she felt like if she moved too much she would go flying into the dirt. After a few minutes, she wasn't sure when, she discovered there was a method to the terrifying madness that was the galloping speed. It was slightly less comfortable, but more manageable. She slowly let her fingers untangle from the coarse hair it had clung to, until she wasn't using her hands at all to hold on. It was then she laughed, outstretching her arms as they raced off through the trees and along the road. "I'm flying, Ren!" she yelled, feeling the wind with her fingers. Kara didn't think she had ever felt so alive.

All too soon, it came to a stop. The horse pranced in front of the cave as Kara took a deep breath, her lungs reminding her they needed air. Her hair was tangled and windswept, and her cheeks felt flushed. Oh if only the others could see them now, the ideas that would pop into their heads. Now the ideas were popping into her head. Focus, girl. She told herself, staring into the dark cavern.

It was pretty big, kind of like....the horse. Yeah, the horse. Speaking of which, she peeked at the ground nervously. "So...how do we get down?" She asked
    Ren, a little uncertain.

Okay, we've been deliberating this way too long so I'm going this. Most of the support has been for the F approach, so F it is.

    [IMG][IMG]

"Okay, we're just wasting time now. Baldy, if you're wrong about this then I'm shoving that sign down your throat." Kellan said with his typical politeness and consideration. Whoever that guy was that was looking around for clues here there and everywhere, it was getting really annoying and them nowhere. So yeah. F. He liked that logic. F it was!
"Well, I suppose that decides that. I wonder what was down there though." Aston mused to himself before they set off down the path that was revealed to be signposted, F. He couldn't fault the logic really.

The path led them deeper into the forest up an incline. It was slight at first, but looking back one could clearly see that they had risen as they went and by now, it felt a little colder than it had before. As they moved on, there was a shout from somewhere to the right off the path.

“What the hell?!” Kellan exclaimed, raising his hand to the blade on his back and drawing it. It seemed to glow a little in the light shafts that pierced through the needles as he looked around, bearing it in both hands. Aston’s hands fell to his own swords, a feeling vindicated by the howling of wolves in the distance.
“Sounds like someone’s in trouble.” Venger stated.
“We don’t have time!” Kellan insisted. “It’s probably one of the people that are trying to beat us to it anyway!”
“We can hardly just leave them there!”
“So what? We save them, then lose the path back? Not bloody likely!”

DM Message: Listen to Kellan and continue, or listen to Aston and investigate the screaming in the woods.

He noticed the quiet lady looking at him and giving him a strange smile. It seemed condescending to him, but he would not be roused by anger. Instead, he paid attention to her strange garb. She was dressed not unlike himself in that she seemed to be from the wild side of civilisation as opposed to the city as many of the other people appeared to. In this sense, he felt a bizarre camaraderie with that, although he was confused by her look. He decided to approach the issue directly and attempt to understand who this person was exactly.
"You are not like the other people here. You are quiet, and peaceful. Nor are you from the city, I can see that." He stated. "I did not catch your name amongst the chaos of the introductions. What is it, may I ask?" He spoke with the dignified calm that he was taught to hold himself with in his village. Clearly, the ways of the city people and the louder amongst them were influencing him. He needed to take greater care to maintain his focus and decorum.

She turned her head to look at him, and she also felt a bizarre kin-ship. "I suppose I take pride in being different, it's part of my culture and upbringing." She responded. "My name is Panola." She spoke in a similar tone to him, not mimicking him but in an unconscious attempt to make him comfortable. "And you're Aedan, if I can recall." She put her hand out to him to shake her hand.

"What brings you here? I'm sure you have an interesting story." She said well-spokenly, and with some charm.

"Yes, I understand that pride. I too am proud of my difference from the others." He agreed with a nod. Panola, her name was. It too, was a mark of her difference. He returned her handshake was with a firm grip but gentle shake. "That is correct." He couldn't help but notice that she used the same sort of tone as he did. It was strange, but perhaps it was common amongst the quieter folk of Tyrrus.
"Not particularly, I'm afraid. I am a simple Druid in training from a quiet village of others of my kind." He replied. "I simply came out to explore the wider world and return with new knowledge and experience and report the changes that have occurred. This place seemed to be the best, because it offers the chance to one day see more than just Tyrrus. What about yourself?"

The spider hissed, and bit Tessa's outstretched hand.
Tessa takes 17 damage and is poisoned
    [IMG] [IMG]
Rayyad arrived at the caves to see Tessa bitten "Tessa!" he yelled in surprise "Stay back! Those are darkweavers! Their poison will make you faint!" he warned. He needed to save her, his eyes glowed green again and he shouted at the spiders "STAY BACK!" the spiders backed away into the darkness. Rayyad walked towards Tessa cautiously "Hey, are you okay?"

"RIGHT!" Flint held out his sword in front of him, pointing at Bryce "One versus one! Honourable combat! If you win, you get your money back and, I don't know, I'll give you something nice I guess? If I win, which is far more likely, then I get to keep the money aaaand..." Flint eyed up the man's armour set "... you have to give me your helmet. Sound like a wager?"

Her faith wasn't rewarded, and the spider sank its fangs into her hand. She cried out and backed up, the wound already darkening with the effects of the poison. Behind her, she heard Rayyad speaking, but his voice sounded...strange. He shouted at them in his scary voice, and they backed up. She took another step back, her hands shaking as she looked down, the two fang marks blurring in her vision. Was she crying? She touched her face, but there wasn't any wetness.

    "
Rayyad, I...." she stumbled, dropping to her knees as her legs gave out. "I tried." She put a hand to her head, shaking it to try and clear her vision. "I don't care if you or Conrad lied, I just want you both to be free." She stared at her palm, then up at Rayyad. "I made a mistake." She whispered, before collapsing to the ground, unconscious.

Bryce blinked. "Aren't you wearing a helmet?" He asked, mistaking the man's long hair for metal. "Ah, well if you need another one, then I suppose that's fair....it gives me really bad tunnel vision anyway." Bryce readied his sword, and then waited. Never attack first. It was a lesson that had literally been beaten into him. Probably why it stuck so well. "Also, if I win, I want you to help me find a dragon fruit."

Anthea listened to the discussion of which way she was supposed to go without saying much on the subject. She was just a servant girl, she got no say on matters like this, she was sure of it. The others could bicker as much as they liked, she would have no part of it. Anthea did however place her hand on the stone in her pocket, remembering her promise to herself to mark the path along the way so if they did get it wrong they wouldn't get lost.

When they finally took off in the direction that was decided in the end. AS the walked forward they heard a scream. While
Aston wanted to help, Kellen didn't seem to agree on that matter. Anthea tensed up a little. She didn't want to speak, she didn't think she should speak, but still she couldn't just walk away from the scream. "I-I am going to help them...." Anthea said, her voice shaky and quiet. She turned towards the scream and slowly took a step towards it. "Sorry for the disrespect. Please don't hate me for it." She then said before heading towards the scream, gripping her staff tightly.

Laurentinus let out a smile as Kara finally stopped being so tense and let herself enjoy the ride. However her enjoyment put a lot of pressure on Laurentinus to make sure she didn't fall off, but he didn't mind so much given her joy. He kicked the horse slightly faster and let out a laugh himself. Riding like this is when he truly felt free.

Reaching the cave he brought the horse to a halt.
"Just hang on, I will help you off." Laurentinus told Kara as he dismounted the horse. He then reached up to help Kara. "Alright bring one leg around so they are both on this side of the horse then just slide down, I am right here to catch you." He instructed. As she started to slide off the horse, he grabbed her around the waist and lowered her to the ground. "Now then shall we see what is in the cave?" He asked as he headed towards the cave. "Whatever is in there I am sure we can have a little fun, but hopefully we can find Tessa and Conrad."

'Okay, we're just wasting time now. Baldy, if you're wrong about this then I'm shoving that sign down your throat.' someone had said. They were not the only one that would be mad at this rash choice. They seemed to go into the forest up an incline. This might be a good thing, up was good. They moved until there was a shout from somewhere to the right off the path. This maybe a trap, but it was worth the risk to save someone. He walked off with Anthea ready to help and whatever. This was strange but they would just have to make the most of it. "Let us save someone."

Garrett kind of wanted to fight anyways.

Conrad followed Rayyad through the city following closely behind, the man. Running through the winding streets headed for the mines, it was good the Rayyad was there to navigate the city he himself didn't have a hope in hell to make it through the city towards the mines. His thoughts were already haunting him with numerous bad situations that would be the result. When they finally arrived what he witnessed filled him with horror. They were different spiders from those that had been in the forest. She had been bitten and when Rayyad yelled out that the poison would make her faint. He still rushed to her side as the spiders retreated at Rayyad's commanding voice. She spoke to Rayyad, either unable or not willing to acknowledge his existance, it mattered little. She said she didn't care either of them lied, but then why did she run away. He wrapped his arms around her as she said she had made a mistake and collapsed to the ground. He looked at Rayyad "This poison.... you said it would make her faint, but are there any other effects of this poison?" He asked the man craddling Tessa in his arms.

Conrad was quite worried about Tessa, poisons never meant anything good. He wondered if they had been too late. "Damn it... I'm sorry, Tessa..." He whispered "I tried... I really did... don't die on me...... please don't die on me..." He could feel tears in the corners of his eyes but they didn't come. A strange sense of familiarity crept upon him and he suddenly felt cold. Another strange deja vu it wasn't a memory he was certain, pain flared throughout him and subsided again. Had it been a dream? It bugged him an aweful lot why was this happening. He hardly knew the girl he held close to him, but there had already been something strange going on this was only the next stage or he was getting sick, either way it didn't matter. The sensation stayed though as if it had happened before. He cursed whatever was causing all this, there seemed to be no reason for it, it seemed just some sort of torment. He looked to Rayyad "Will she be okay?" He couldn't keep the worry out of his voice.

After Alice finished explaining the situation to Lumen, he gave her a confused expression for a good couple of seconds. Then he turned towards the blacksmith. "One second please, I might actually buy something." His attention went back to Alice to which he said. "Are you sure you're okay, like did you hit your head on the way here?"

She did not understand Lumen. Did he not see the fear in her eyes? How afraid she was for them? "I was at the river and saw them being taken forcefully. If you are not going to help I will." She was about ready to drag Lumen out the door with her, but unfortunately she was not strong enough to do that. "Please Lumen." This confirmed that she was not strong enough for this sort of thing. She could not believe that Lumen was wasting time.

    Darklight Disturbance
    The Mine Entrance, Darklight Caverns:
After ensuring the spiders wouldn't attack them here, Rayyad knelt by Tessa who was being cradled by Conrad. He felt like a bit of a third wheel here.
"The poison is infested with dark magic, it's intended to make a victim unconscious, so the spiders can... eat them. Luckily we got here in time. The poison actually doesn't do much else, there isn't much to worry about... although... it may give her a slight case of terrifying nightmares" Rayyad cleaned up the bite and bandaged her hand "There's nothing much we can do for her, but she should be fine when she wakes up" Rayyad looked back into the cave "I should have warned her... there are much worse things down there..."

The girl was falling, falling down a dark chasm in the realm of nightmares. In the shadows there flickered shapes, horrific, grotesque creatures. She saw images of an armoured man with long white hair, Conrad, reaching out for her, before he was swallowed by darkness. She saw two images of Rayyad, battling each other in a desperate attempt to gain dominance over the other. She saw a ship, sailing a dark stormy sea, at the prow stood a masked figure with long flowing hair and accompanied by a bird. One eye could be seen under the mask, and it looked at the girl studiously. Just as the figure was about to remove its mask, the sea suddenly twisted and thrashed, huge shadowy tentacles of water, an extension of the sea itself, rose up and grasped the ship. The image was gone before the girl could see the outcome. Many more images flashed by her as she accelerated towards the bottomless depths, before she landed with a thud. "Can you handle the secrets that lie in the shadows?" a voice called out. A figure stepped forward, he looked like Rayyad but... different. It was as though the body of Rayyad had been taken over by a different consciousness, this version moved with authority and purpose instead of anxiety and uncertainty "The future is a fickle thing, like the darkness, it shies away when we try to shine a light on it"

    Big Game Hunting
    Northway Inn:

    Flint blinked
"What's a dragon fruit?" he then shook his head and decided to stop wasting time "CHARGE!" he began to run towards Bryce... very slowly... dragging his sword... reeeeaallly slowly. "I'll get you! Just you wait!" eventually he did arrive at Bryce, but didn't have enough AP time to do anything else as he faced off the warrior.

"So... you're defending the village against this assassin... who may be attempting to kill... 'Duke Rention'" Shyra could not believe the stupidity of this man, or how cocky Kara and Laurentinus must have been. However, she was not averse to deciet and would not enlighten this man to how thoroughly he got tricked. Oh how embarassed he would be to discover that "Duke Rention" was nothing more than an ex-city guard, and as funny as that would be, she didn't want Ren getting arrested any time soon.
"Indeed, good lady. The Hirokiri are slippery, but we believe this one is based in the Darklight caves" Lord Galaharram stated with certainty
"Ah. Well I suppose we should go arrest this 'assassin' before he does anything else, I do believe he's kidnapped some of my recruits"
"Arrest? No my good lady, I'm going to kill that man myself!" Arval stated with purpose "The Hirokiri have no business in Tyrrus, and we are at war after all, no mercy in war"
"I see. Whatever the case I'm going to get our carriage and gather up my recruits, meet me by the cave entrance"
"Who are you to give me orders...." Arval begun indignantly, but withered under the intimidating stare from Shyra. If looks could kill... Arval didn't even want to think about what would happen "...very well. Madam" Arval bowed, wondering why he was bowing to someone who had no apparent authority, and backed away to go find a horse.

    Darklight Disturbance
The dream was terrifying. She wanted to scream, but couldn't. She tried to grab onto something to keep herself from falling, but couldn't. She tried to wake herself up, but just like the former two, she couldn't. Now, having landed on her knees, she looked up as the Rayyad-yet-not-Rayyad form approached her. "Can you handle the secrets that lie in the shadows?" he asked her, his voice different. Just like his form, just like his aura....it was not her Rayyad, but it looked like him. "The future is a fickle thing, like the darkness, it shies away when we try to shine a light on it."

"But I don't need a light." She responded, getting to her feet slowly. "I'm not afraid of the dark, or the shadows. I'm not afraid of what I don't understand." Because really, that was the human way. And as she was slowly discovering, she seemed to be anything but human. When she had walked in the darkness of the forest, those many nights, she had become one of those shadows; one of those wavering forms that so many people feared, and built fires to keep away. "I'll persist, even if it kills me." She decided, stepping towards the Rayyad-but-not-Rayyad person. "I'll help Rayyad, and Conrad, and anyone else who needs it, because no creature deserves to be caged." She had already lived freely for most of her life, and if her life was the price of another's freedom, then she would gladly pay it.

    Darklight Disturbance

Kara's mind froze for a second as
Laurentinus helped her off the horse. For a brief moment, their faces were level, and their eyes met. Then he set her on the ground, and the second was over. She blinked at the ground, staring at her shoes for a moment as she tried to connect her disjointed thoughts, before putting a smile on her face and nodding. "I've never been in a cave before." She said as they started towards the big as a..horse opening. "Well, a smuggler's cave, but I think that's going to be very different then this. And hopefully less wet. She winked at Ren before stepping inside, her hands warily stretched out in front of her to see.

"I don't suppose you have a light?" She asked, her eyes trying to probe the darkness. Doe Eyes was probably right at home with this kind of place, with all of her talk of animals and plants and peace and whatever. But
Wolfie was probably not quite as happy, and she hoped he wouldn't get into too much trouble before they got there. Because, of course, that was her job.

    Big Game Hunting
Bryce blinked, watching with slightly widened eyes as the Night Knight charged him. "You don't know what a dragonfruit is?" He asked, genuine sadness in his voice. "Why is everyone in this country so uncultured?" It was then he struck, attacking the Night Knight with his warhammer. "Let me win so I can educate you!"
