so I just beat Legend of Dragoon again, and it was really easy this time. I should start thinking of using Haschel more often. Anyways, When I have time, I'm going to play again, and who do you guys think I should make the team of? I've done Dart/Albert/Haschel, Dart/Albert/Meru, Dart/Albert/Miranda, so I really haven't used Rose or Kongal. I think I might replace Albert with Haschel, but I don't know, because Albert it stronger than Haschel unless you get the right addition at the right level. And he gets his final addition fastest. What do you guys think? I want to try and use Rose or Kongol because I haven't used them yet
Personally I never used Kongol due to the fact that I never discovered his dragoon until later on in the game but Dart/Herschel/Rose was my team. I used Rose due to the fact that she had the best dragoon attacks in the whole team (my opinion) Never got use to Meru's button action sequences and I found using Herschel was a better alternative than Albert because once i started using Herschel's "double punch" i became addictied. XD
well....that's certainly an interesting way to get into a team. But you can get Kongol's dragoon right after you get him. Just go to Lohan and you can buy it for like 1000 Coins or something. But you did know to work on all the additions right?
Yea I found that out right before going to defeat Melbu Frahma.. :/ The whole time I was wondering if Kongol even did have a dragoon power at all. Being the boring player i was i never worked on all the additions and only used first couple of additions. Although I did use my new Dragoon magic powers whenever i received them. Rose's dragoon power "Demon's Gate" was one of my faves although using that spell was a little *explicit* if you know what i mean...
umm, well, she does have a strong attack, somewhat. But her def and hp are what's annoying. Shana has less HP, but her defense and Magic attack widely make up for it. So yeah, I was actually thinking of doing a team with Haschel and Rose, only problem being, it takes fricken forever for Haschel to get his additions, while you can have Albert's/Lavitz's so quickly. Man, talk about being torn
Yea I only used Shana for the bosses (especially that annoying Green Tusked Dragon w/ its poison attacks -_- ) due to her magic being able to heal 3 party members at once, otherwise i stocked up on health potions for the other enemies. I used Lavitz until I received Haschel as a team member and immediately swapped him out. I found using the button combinations were easier to use while playing Herschel rather than playing Lavitz or Albert. (Of course like you said, Herschel only has a limted number of addtions at first) I never really used Albert unless it was required. I'm fixing to pop in Disc One after all this talk of strategy battling. lol
I don't bother training more than 3 people, that's why I always come up with a team before hand. And still, I need to find a team that I can use that I can also fight Faust with. I've never gotten close to beating him. I mean, I haven't gotten close to getting the equipment most people use, but that's just so much money, I don't have nearly enough time to do that. But still, I think for Faust I might need Albert and Meru. I'm thinking now I might either use Albert and Meru this next time, or use Haschel and Rose
SOURCE: NEOSEEKER These tips may help assemble your team. I noticed how the tip says to include Albert in your team. EDIT: (YOU'RE RIGHT ABOUT INCLUDING MERU AND ALBERT IN YOUR TEAM!!) XD In case you really need help in battling Faust: 1. Have Albert in your party. Rose Storm works wonders, as Faust's magical attacks are very powerful. 2. Aside from Dart and Albert, try to include a member with high defense against magic, such as Meru or Miranda. I would personally go with Miranda, simply because you have an instant healer if you need it. 3. Dragoon Additions work better than spells. Faust is strong in the magic department, but downright feeble physically. Take advantage of this by hitting him hard with a physical attack, preferably from Albert. In fact, have Albert initiate the Dragoon Special if you can for some added damage. 4. Have some Angel's Prayers ready. Someone will probably die in this battle, due to Faust's high-powered magic. 5. For every 1/4 of his HP you take him down by, he'll unleash a rather devastating magical attack. Try to have some Angel's Prayers and/or a healing spell from Meru/Miranda ready.
I already know all of that. But I'm not saying I want to use Meru because of the magic defense, I'm saying because you can get her dragoon armor at Zenabatos, which keeps her from taking damage from a water attack. I might try miranda, but I've only used her once. She's not exactly my favorite fighter. I like Shana better
