Legend of Dragoon: Advent of the Sindori

"I don't see why people hate us." Ghaleon said as his tail swayed.

 

"Have you heard the rumor? Lady Aerith was rapped by a gemone named Kuja. And that was the start of the Sindori. The people found out that the gemone were a race of people created to be angels of death." Miko was standing in the doorway.

 

"I've heard of our origins, but I still don't understand why people hate us. It just makes no sense to me."

 

"Ask the gods about that one."

 

"Think I'll pass. Helping Maya recover her memory is more important."

 

Miko smirked. "Oh, has the Berserker prince fallen for this mysterious thief?"

 

"What?! No, nothing like that! I just want to help her."

 

"Of course." Maya grinned as she left and headed for the temple.

 

Ghaleon followed Maya, a slight blush on his face.

 

Miko followed them, then slipped away when they reached the temple. She went to the heavens and hugged Aerith from behind. They watched as Maya prayed to them.

 

Ghaleon stood and watched.

 

"Think you guys can help?" Miko asked, Aerith looked up at her. "Maybe."

Maya continued to pray, Kyo appeared and reassured them she was with him and the prince.

 

Ghaleon was leaning against the wall, sleeping.

 

Maya finished praying and fainted, Kyo caught her, gently holding her with his arm.

 

Ghaleon woke up.

"Is she alright?"

 

"Yes, she merely fainted." Kyo looked up, thinking, 'Are you going to help her?"

Hikari looked down and sighed.

 

"I'll take her back home." Ghaleon said as he took her into his arms.

 

As soon as Kyo watched him leave, he ascended into the heavens. "So, are you going to help, Hikari?"

"Of course, we're gods. It is our duty to help those who to pray us."

 

Ghaleon set her on her bed and sighed.

Maybe I am starting to fall for you...why else would I stick around?

 

Maya groaned and sat up, rubbing her eyes.
