"This whole Dragoon thing, and who I am. I know no clue who I am, who my parents are."

 

"You don't even have the faintest clue? Maybe there's some way I can help."

 

"That would be nice. But it would be best to do it in secret. Can't have everyone know you're helping a thief."

 

"I don't really care what most people think, but you're probably right."

 

"I'll see you tomorrow, after my daily morning theft.

 

Ghaleon nodded and headed back to the castle.

 

Maya smiled and fell asleep.

 

Ghaleon woke up the next morning and stretched.

 

Maya was already awake and stole from three shops.

 

Ghaleon walked to town and listened to the commotion that Maya caused. He smiled as he thought about her.

 

Maya smiled at what she stole and began to eat.

 

Ghaleon walked into her house when he noticed nobody was looking.

 

Maya smiled and sighed.

 

"I see you made quite a haul today."

 

"Yeah, those knucklehead shopkeepers are too slow to catch me."

 

"I think I'm the only one that can keep up with you."

 

Maya smiled at him and ate some food.

 

"So do you remember anything?"

 

"Nope. All I really remember is waking up near the temple. The people really hated me back than, because I'm a Sindori."
