LBP delayed

Blast. And i was so looking forward to spending a sleepless night playing this on tuesday.

Atleast it's only a short delay, it still sucks since I really want the game!

 

I was planning on getting this game if I got too bored, at least now I have more time to think about it

 

I have a hard time believing that a delay this huge was due to Qu'ran lyrics being found in a background song.

Certainly there has to be a bigger reason?

 

Unfortunatly, that is the case. I recall, that when Zack and Wiki was first announced at E3 either last year or two years ago, there were lyrics from the Koran. Alot of them Muslims jumped up and down about it's use in the game and it was removed. There was no delay for that game because it was still in development. So either it was caught and they didn't want an outburst, or people jumped up and down about it.

Yeah, there was muslim chants in the BG music of the fire temple. Such a shame too, I bet it sounded awesome with it. Also would've liked Ganon with red blood.

 

I read 'bout this this mornin'. I highly doubt they meant any offence to the Muslims community. It's not as if they were bashin' the religion.

The same happened with Resistance: Fall of Man. The Church of England went mental when Manchester Cathedral was placed in the game without any permission. That never got recalled. =/

It can be spelled either way.

It was merely a typo. I was thinking of two words that can be used interchangeably at the same time, resulting in me using both words at the same time. It wasn't meant to offend or to be used in a hateful manner.

 

No it cannot. The media makes it look like that's the spelling. Actual spelling anywhere is Qu'ran.

 

Doesn't explain why I own a copy that spells it as "Koran."

Either way, i'm still excited to play this game. I'm trying to decide if my sackboy will look like Old Snake, or a pirate version of me....

 

So I retract my statement about a month. I evidently misread the one-week delay as something else.

Gonna get my sackboy on soon.

It said the game had been delayed a month when i checked this mornin'. I went n' rechecked it n' they changed it to set dates. UK release date is Nov 3rd. Meh, 6 days after the US.
