Funnily enough, I tried out that same formula, even though it's not highlighted or really distinguished in the text book. I just had no clue if it was right or not. Got 4,000,000 N(?). Not sure on the units to use.

So what would happen to my answer exactly if the particle had a negative charge? Would it equal the same thing but negative?

 

Well the direction would definitely be opposite but I think the answer might still be the same. Hmm, I'm not sure so don't quote me one it. Also the units are Newtons per Coulomb and I'd suggest using standard form.
