Look at that profile picture. A chessmaster. How could he not be a mafiosi?

Could also be a Chess Grandmaster. Ever think about that?

    I remember that.

To this day, I think someone is calling me when I hear it.

I'll never forget what the meaning of your username is, or the way you explained it to me.

I can't say Kaze, because then it just feels like saying wind.

    Let's test that memory.

    How did I explain it?

    Verbatim?

Well, you said that Ma, was bad/malignant/evil, and Kami (from Kamikaze) means divine, holy, powerful. Or maybe the powerful applied to kaze, which would then mean strong wind.

    Am I close?

    I knew it.

    Got one part right.

Ma means evil, malignant, or the devil. Kami means divine, good, or the deity.

    Makaze vs Kamikaze

    What do they symbolize?

Makaze would be an evil wind, a storm caused by the Devil, or diabolic forces.

Kamikaze would be divine wind, powerful blow, something or other.

Correct... They have personal meaning to me, though.

    Care to explain?

You don't have to. As you said, it's personal. I'm just curious.

Kamikaze has been used as a word for suicide missions for your country since it was used to describe the actions of Japanese air force pilots who crashed their planes into enemy ships. You might have heard the term 'kamikaze attack'. It is a perfect example of the association between nationalism, honor, and faith in a higher power.

If Kamikaze represents nationalism, self-sacrifice and the deity, then Makaze represents independence, self-fulfillment and the accuser.

It has a double meaning. I am doing more than standing up for my own individuality by naming myself Makaze. I am also standing as a contrast; an antithesis to the things I challenge in others. It both supports my identity and questions the identities of others, making it an autological word. It is the devil's advocate to everything Kamikaze stands for.

You'd be great playing Team Fortress 2.

Describe yourself in the second person, as if you were caught in the middle of a robbery, and had a switchblade on you. What thoughts are running through your head? What is your plan of action?

    How in the...?
Do you know if they are armed? Don't bring a knife to a gunfight. Is it your house? Is it your money? You aren't afraid to die, but can you do anything? Your best bet is to ignore them and show no fear. Thieves don't like killing people. If it's just the one, you can easily surprise them with a knife to their neck. He's not paying attention to you. Flip your blade open when he walks away, then wait. If no one else does anything, wait until he gets close enough and their back is turned. Press the blade to their neck, pointing it upward and to the back of their head. It will pierce easily and he will bleed out even if you miss the throat and vein. Tell them to drop the gun slowly, then kick it across the room. Force them to their knees. You can do this.
