    THE SUMMONING SPELL! : D Normally you only need one to bring us together >:3 just mention their names!

    AP calculus sounds sad ;-; I hated maths and I think that is the same thing?

    It is essentially college level math as a high school course that I am taking. Let's just say that the plan is that the final is designed for the average calculus student to get a 50% on it. We're about 13 days behind on material because of snow days and class meetings. We had to rush to get it done, and now we only have like a week and a half to review. The exam is early May ;-;

    D: I do not envy you. Do you need it to get into college or something? :3

    Nah. I took it because it sounded fun. Not to mention I fell asleep in Pre Calc last year like every class. Now I have good reasons to pay attention ^^

    Ugh, I did Calculus. Actually, it was pretty fun. Difficult, but fin. Like nuclear physics.

    Well, if CatEnzy can derail any and every thread, I thought maybe they could rerail a dead thread.

    I only regret that I couldn't find a proper chorus to do the summoning chanting. It shall be found in time.

    Oh man TJ, I feel ya with the AP math. I opted for Stats instead of Calc, but my teacher isn't capable of teaching so I goof around and hope 99% of the time.

    Physics <3

    But anyway, I've always kinda wanted to ask this since I keep seeing people say they do pre-calc and calculus. So I'm from England and I've done quite a lot of maths/advanced maths (I do a physics degree so I need to), but we don't organise it like that. My question is then what level is pre-calc and calculus, what do you actually learn in each? I want to compare that to what I've done to get an idea of the level of each. Um, not sure how well I've worded this.

    You know, Star, a few years ago before I graduated from high school I probably could have answered that. Sadly I don't remember.

    I don't know about pre-calc (Canada doesn't have it I guess?) but in Calculus, we learn about how to derive and integrate formulas. And that's pretty much all I can remember from my many years ago in Calculus.

    Ah so it's the basic differentiation and integration that you're first introduced to, that would be similar to what I learnt in A-level maths. Thanks~

    Yup. Differentiating and integrating exponentials, logs, etc and determining limits and whatnot.
