Going against civilised society? Going against their freedom and care free lives? There is a reason we got rid of corporal punishment, we saw that people could change and with a bit of rehabilitation then they can live their lives for the greater good! These people need to be punished no doubt, but killing them should never be the answer as they can reform and on that chance we should never kill them. We are the human race and if we begin to accept death as a reasonable punishment for crimes such a theft then we may as well do it for piracy as well- that's theft and then why stop there. Who are you to determine what crime deserves death and what doesn't? We did have such implements in place many years ago but then we changed for the better and became more civilised... that is improvement! You are making us go backwards.

People will be in fear. They will live in fear and that is no way to live. Such things will lead people to blackmail and what about people who have been falsely accused- you don't know the ins and outs of the situations at hands so how can you possibly judge the people involved. These powers will corrupt you and you can try to implement a cleaner way of life but there will always be crime and sadness, you can't stop that.

Oh, but there is a reason why repeat offenders exist. So long as we show any mercy, criminals will no doubt take advantage of compassion and sympathy. And who is anyone to say who lives and who dies? What right does a president or a czar have to punish people when they themselves could be held accountable for offenses greater than or equal to those of the "criminals?" I have the power to change the corruption that is ever-present in the upper class and get rid of greed and selfishness. If you think that my method is going backwards, then you clearly haven't seen Wall Street or any other repeat offenders who take advantage of their position. THAT is what is taking us backwards; I am simply putting humanity back on track.

But those who believe in me won't have to live in fear, and I realize that false accusations may be an issue, but you forget that I have some help in my righteous quest. My eyes and ears extend into death itself, and I will know who deserves life or death. I may not be able to stop sadness, but I can exterminate evil!
