Hey, so I found this really weird notebook before I got sick and when I turned around, some freaky thing was hovering behind me. I think he called himself a Shinigami, but I hardly heard it since I was, y'know, getting sick...

 

You shouldn't tell people! They'll come after you ;-; THAT NOTEBOOK CAN DESTROY THE WORLD!

 

B-b-but I didn't actually use it or anything. I mean, that Shinigami thing is following me around, but he's invisible to everyone else. Still, it gets freaky when I'm trying to sleep and he eats all the apples in my house.

 

Yes, that would be freaky but don't let the notebook fall into the wrong hands >:3 who knows what'll happen to the supernatural world! xD

Oh, I've considered just burning the thing, but Ryuk (the Shinigami) told me that'd be a waste. To be honest, I don't even know if it works yet...

I have to use it to fix the world. If all these criminals and murderers are allowed to live, then what's the point in a society at all?

So I'm watching Persona 4 with some friends in preparation for Animethon. Also, for all the ladies out there, there's a swimming anime called Free which is heavy on the fanservice. Those guys have wicked abs.

 

I'm actually watching Free! at the moment (I have to catch up though; I watched episode four last), and since I used to swim I can understand the technical stuff.

You may think you are a God but that is merely the desires of a childish being who plays with powers beyond his own. Anyone would be foolish to follow you. The Christian God is not one to simply destroy as he is a merciful God who loves humanity no matter their faults so you cannot compare yourself to him.

You may define your evil as one standing in your way but is it not evil to create a world governed by fear and destruction? People who follow you are fickle, they only do so in order to not get killed but will happily change their allegiance if something better came up. That is not faith and therefore you have no one and you shall not win.

Your warped idea of justice is ridiculous, it's worse than an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind! It's killing all who sinned and would that not include everyone?! How are you better than the criminals you kill?

 

You would dare say such things? These powers were given to me for a reason, and I will use them the way they were intended to be used: for the greater good of humanity. My followers will know peace through a world without murder, rape or theft; it will be a world for the good. Is that not what our society is supposed to be: a world where the good should prosper and the corrupt should cause their own undoing? Well, just look at how that's turned out. All I wish is to grant the good a better life while the wicked shall be purged from the world.

Oh, but you are naive if you believe that our society is not already that way. The threat of death or confinement has plagued the guilty since the inception of civilization, and yet crime continues. My only wish is to perfect what human beings have already set up to be the standard for punishment. I see those who would be content with so foul a world as ours evil, but only because they're a hindrance to the rest of the good and just who deserve more than they're getting under the current rules. Those who follow me will prove their loyalty simply by living their lives as they normally would, because they have nothing to fear while I govern them. How could there ever be a better offer than that?

I would not punish simple sins, because I understand that it's human nature to sin. What I will punish, however, are horrendous crimes -- rape, murder, theft, et cetera -- that are absolutely unforgivable. I am better than them because I have not committed any of their unforgivable deeds. And before you argue that I am murdering them in cold blood, just remember that the end justifying the means is something that even current leaders are implementing to get results. If you're against me, then you're against the whole of civilized society.

So go ahead. Do your absolute worst.
