    So I started watching Doctor Who. I actually started on Eleventh Doctor but then I kind of felt like I was missing something. I'm sad that Ninth Doctor only lasted one season. I liked him...

    Every article I've read about him mentions that since day one he was begging to get out of his DW contract, and all the interviews I've read about, he literally says "No, I haven't given it thought, it's in the past."

    Christopher Eccleston is a fantastic actor! He's primarily attracted to good writers and he respected RTD so that's why he did DW. I think he didn't get on with some of the crew members like HoT said. He was approached about appearing in the 50th anniversary but after long thought I think he turned it down, I don't know if that's because he didn't like the script or what but he did consider it.

    He's not a horrible person, I just don't think he wants anything to do with the series any more. I think Nine is brilliant and he's a great actor but I much prefer some of the other Doctors who care more about the show. It shouldn't be a contributing factor but it is... grrrr...

    It's a shame, really. But I respect his decision yeah. Better they get someone who's truly passionate about being the Doctor and bringing him to life on the screen.
