I will agree with the story bit. Could have been a bit longer and maybe fleshed out Sam's motives for attacking World Marshall. Everything else, not so much. I highly disagree with the whole "bosses pose less of a threat", I actually found them harder in this DLC then the actual game, and I played them both on normal. The difference was like night and day.

I'm not sure where the whole "slower dumbed-down Raiden" thing come from, Sam plays nothing like Raiden. And thank God for that, I would have hated it if Sam were just basicly a skin of Raiden where the appearance of attacks are different but the combos are the same. I thought he played great. I can somewhat understand the slower bit, Sam is supose to be a samurai while Raiden is a ninja, ninjas are faster or some crap. Also, Sam has the whole "hold Y at the end of combos" thing that were pretty fucking awesome.

I'm honestly not surprised at the reuse of content from the games. I went in there knowing that I wasn't going to see new enemy types just showing up. Like the Metal Gear Ray.

So personally I liked the DLC, and I can't wait for the Blade Wolf DLC. To each his own.

 

I mean in that Sam is slower in every respect, can't assassinate despite seemingly being easier to sneak up on enemies with, and all in all normal enemies seemed harder. Then when it got to the bosses I could basically spam X and block everything ever, took no damage from the Metal Gear Ray or Bladewolf, and ended up beating the entire thing in less than 40 minutes.
Considering that I've had huge expansions to games that cost 800 points before, I was unimpressed. Bladewolf at least will play entirely differently, being a motherfucking wolf.

 

I think the justification for that is because Sam is a samurai who would prefer an honorable fight over Raiden who is a ninja, which are assassins. That is why he cannot stealth kill while Raiden can. But that's what I think.

I know right? It's the hypest.

You are obviously a better player then me cause I couldn't beat Bladewolf in Jetstream in one try, and I did the exact same thing as you. RAY, yeah I beat in the first try, but RAY has always been the jobber of the Metal Gears.

Yeah, the whole DLC clocks in at about an hour. Plus, you got to remember MGR doesn't take into account cutscene time and restart time, so you may have been an hour.

His DLC is probably going to be harder then both the main game and the Jetstream DLC. It's going to so awesome! (hopefully)

Speaking of which, out of all the characters in MGR, who would you like to see get a staring role in their own DLC? I personally say Monsoon.

 

In all honesty, I would love for there to be a DLC with a playable Senator Armstrong.

 

It has to be a political sim with a Mass Effect convo wheel.

 

All of the options will invariably be "FUCK YOU. FUCK THE MEDIA.".

 

Someone asks him a question there's a renegade interrupt where he jumps down headbutts them and says, "I use to play college ball, ya know." Then he punts them, all to the roar of the crowd inside the building.

 

Plot twist: he didn't actually play college ball.

 

It was actually high school ball, a great source of shame for him is that he didn't do college ball and then go pro because he joined the navy. Then a cyborg God child says he'll reveal his secret if he doesn't choose to either take control of all cyborgs, makes everyone a cyborg, or kill all cyborgs. Of course there is the fourth option of punting him.
