You can pretty much just disregard the thought of this series ever being 'happy' if you've read the last book.
If you take into consideration, how many characters die in that book. A few in particular too. Not saying any names but anyone who has finished it has a pretty good idea about a certain character I may or may not be talking about.

I'm sure you could be a smashing poppet if you did this with your hands whilst singing "Sweet Transvestite" with a clown costume on whilst holding a balloon and acting like a 'Professional Pirate'.

A boy named Hisao Nakai has a heartattack and is diagnosed with a congenital heart defect that forces him to move to a new school designed for cripple children after a long hospitalization. From there you can go one of five routes depending on the choices you make during the first Act. Each route has a Good Ending and a Bad Ending (two have a neutral ending), and it should be noted that each have at least one sex scene (though you can disable the images for them in the options).

Now, despite what you may think of the premise I just gave you, the entire subject is handled very tastefully and the characters manage to break free not only from any stereotypes associated with their disabilities, but also from many of the typical Dating Sim cliches, resulting in a surprisingly well-written (and emotional) tale.
