Yet another allegory. This time for a submissive and defeatist personality; someone who accepts where they are and works with what they are given by those they see as better rather than making things better for themselves...

It is not that you do not think you can win, you have simply decided that you do not need to win itself.

I think you can learn a lot from the way someone thinks about a game like chess.

Those are your worries, but if you truly felt it was hopeless, then you would find the game completely boring and would not feel like playing it.

I'm not 100% on the details, but it seemed like it was in a zoo of some kind, and we were being given direction on how to look after it. Not entirely sure of much else, except that it seemed to go into a lot of detail.
