I know. 3D and Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright are the games that made me buy my 3DS. When they're released, I can only hope that the success of the original DS will carry over to its counterpart.

 

So far the lineup is very promising. We can only hope...

 

Is there ever really a situation where we can do anything more?

Still, as long as they localize the rest of the Layton games, I will be a satisfied lady.

 

Will the Layton vs Pheonix Wright be playable on the original DS? Because I don't really want a 3DS but I want that game.

 

I'm not sure. Probably not. They want people to have incentive to buy the new system.

 

Aww damn. From what I've seen of the 3DS I'm not that impressed. I'd have the 3D permenantly turned off, and I'm not very good with the anolog stick. So I don't see that much point in getting it, bar that one game.

Doesn't matter to me. I will buy the 3DS for one game and I will be happy with it. Besides, some better games could come out for it later.

 

It's the same as it was with the GBA and DS.

It's backwards compatible, but the original doesn't play any of the new games.

Oh yeah, because shoving a cartridge with a tab into it will always work.

Literally, all they did was add a tab and make it a tad bit shorter.

It's actually pretty good y'know, it just had a poor selection of games in release.
