There are no spoilers whatsoever. I wrote this before going to see the movie last night. By the way, you should see it as well. It has laughs, tears and depressing moments all in one. Also, Mycroft Holmes is a hilarious fat man, though most of those guys in movies are pretty funny.

Anyway, this fanfic is completely outside the universe of the movies. Read it and you'll see what I mean.

Honey, thinking I'll like a Robert Downey Jr movie is one of the biggest understatements I've heard on this forum.

Also, I did. And the ending... everyone in the theater was clapping and cheering after the sullenness of that scene. I loved it a bit too much though, and my mom was making fun of my "crush" on him. I just tuned her out with Vocaloid on my iPod and my furry jacket like a boss.

 

xD Okay fair enough.

I enjoyed the ending mainly because I've read one of the books, plan to read more but I know a little about major events in the books and I was like 'They're following the books! I know what's coming ^,^' as soon as I saw the setting. xD Saved me some worry :P

Well, with that slimy bastard gone, at least they have the chance to expand a bit more for the third film. I also enjoy how Holmes just trolled Watson at the end. That was bloody brilliant~ :3

 

The children have gone home,and now I am happy.
But I am going ice skating tommorow with dear Ingrid,which means that I shall most likely end up dead somewhere,as myself and ice does not go well together.

But how do you know he's gone? No bodies were found, if Holmes surived then what's to stop him surviving? But yeah, it was and he looks so silly in his disguises xD But if there's a third, I wonder how he's going to persuade/force Watson to join him because he promised this would be the last time. And you simply can't have Sherlock without Watson at his side. And I like Watson, they can't get rid of him.

True that it isn't fun without Watson, but given his own personal loyalty (the best way I can describe it) to Holmes, he'll end up tagging along anyway. He said it'd be the last time he asked him, he never said anything about whether or not Watson willingly volunteered to join another case.

Besides that, Holmes was the only one with any means of survival on his person. They didn't find Holmes because he didn't die, sure, but Moriarty couldn't have survived that kind of a drop into a freezing cold Swiss lake. Holmes was injured but he had his brother's own personal supply of Oxygen on his person, so he could take all the time he needed to find a place to get out. I'll admit, the mind games between the two of them will be missed, but when he calculated how to push him off the ledge after a fight, I had no more empathy for him. I might've let the fact that he killed my favorite female of the series slide, but killing Shirly (heh, Shirly) is unforgivable.

Not bad, but what say you to this...?

Oh, that was the deal with the supply of oxygen. I can't believe I didn't get that until now. Okay, in that case you're probably right and I think he died in the books too so it is unlikely he survived but since no body, it is still a very slim possibility. The books were how I knew Sherlock survived, author tried to kill of Sherlock in that waterfall but there was a public outrage so he was forced to bring Sherlock back. And oh? I'm assuming she played a bigger part in the last movie, I'm yet to see that.

On a side note I liked Watson's reaction when he got the oxygen thingy, did the postman delivering this look funny at all? He knows Sherlock and his wierd and wonderful disguises.

Well, the fact that he had just attended Holmes' funeral service probably made him believe that it was Mycroft or something. Also, he wouldn't think to check for him in the costume unless there was a hint at his presence in the room. Otherwise, he would just go on writing his story.
