A little numb but tender and very sensitive, it also has a very odd texture. I've just been in the shower and that hasn't helped as now it hurts. I also need to stop using my burnt finger to type.

 

Oh onnomnom. I adore noodles. Even the word noodle. Wonderful.

I hope its the same place then, zoo's are great. The lions and the tigers always notice me. Which slighty worries me, but meh.

If it had Nigel Thornberry on it, I would die happy.

xD She is giving me a lot of mock sympathy now, which is just annoying. She was there when it happened and was quick to get me to run it under water but she knows it's not that bad. Plus she burnt herself as well before me but didn't manage to warn me in time.

 

Just a couple of years ago I hated Johnny Cash and his music. Now I find myself loving his music more and more, every time I hear one of his songs. Hurt is possibly the most moving song I know of.

 

Johnny Cash is like, the only artist in that genre that I can genuinely enjoy.

Hurt is a cover of Nine Inch Nails' song. A lot of people don't know that (dunno if you knew, just sayin')

 

I agree, Johnny Cash is one of a kind.

Yeah, I've heard the original version, it's not nearly as powerful and moving as Cash's version. The lyrics are great, and they deserve credit for them, but in my mind it will always be a Johnny Cash song.

 

I love both versions, but I actually enjoy Nine Inch Nails version more (not by a lot though). Trent sounds more desperate, which to me fits the song better, along with having more instances of just instruments. Just wish it didn't have that loudness at the end, like Johnny Cash's cover.

 

It's all up to the individual's preferences. Trent does sound desperate, but I just love Cash's grovely voice. It sounds like he's actually in pain while singing, which makes it all the more powerful to me. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy both versions too, but Cash's version is a tad bit better in my opinion.

I might also be a bit biased, since I heard Cash's version first.

 

Its perfectly fine. It just is annoying when people say NIN covered Cash, and then say NIN's version is garbage (my brother...)
