Hello guys, I managed to get myself into Sleep Paralysis last night.
Of course, because of that, I'm running off of 2 hours sleep and the sheer excitement of losing weight. Woo.

 

Morning/Afternoon everybody. It looks like this thread could be nearing it's final stretch.

I'm good with just being here for the last few posts. I've finally done it!

Congratulations to whoever the winner is.

 

Hold on now, that final stretch may be longer than I though since my herpaderp vision led me to read the post number wrong. Turns out we're still about 500+ posts away, not 200+ like I thought. Whoopsie. :lolface:

Were you attempting the WILD method of forcing oneself to attain lucidity in sleep?

 

Yes actually, but it didn't work out. I did manage to get into a hypnagogic state, and at one point I felt as if it was almost working.
But, me being me, I forgot I was supposed to do it after 4+ hours of sleep :/ I instead attempted it as soon as I was in bed.

So what I was left with was a half success, which wouldn't have led to anything very vivid anyway, and an excruciatingly sore foot for over 30 minutes, which led me to trying to trigger an OBE, which again almost worked, but I went wrong somewhere.

 

I understand a third of this, but I want to lucid dream.

I am going to look stuff up and try it. I did it once when I was seven and I WANT IT AGAIN!

This thread has been slow from the start anyway.

 

It really does apply to me. Of course an added advantage of this is that you won't really tend to remember nightmares either. I can't remember the last time I had one.

When I was younger, I could remember a lot of my dreams without fail really. Maybe I have too much on my mind nowadays. I seriously believe that I think too much during the day.

I'm not sure how to get back that mindset though :/

I used to have a trick for being able to lucid dream my way out of a nightmare while I was in the middle of it. It's pretty cheesy (I was six or seven at least), but it worked every time I did it.
If I was stuck in some terrible situation, I'd start singing this song. As I got through the lyrics, everything would start to turn in my favor and before long things became really fun. For some reason, the lyrics spoke to me but as the years went by and I forgot the exact words, I found myself able to manipulate things less and less. Now I just go with the flow, though I really am trying to do what I did back then again.
