I noticed that. How many times can one be wrong before they get the idea?

Awww, was hoping for a personal explanation. Still, I think I get it better now. I formerly had ideas of what anarchism was, but I've always wanted to know how a supporter of it would explain it to a neutral party, not that I know who supports it.

Makaze supports it. I didn't want to attempt to give a personal explanation of something that doesn't relate to me.

    Back.

Anarchism is the logical conclusion reached when you seek the least harm to the greatest number while harm is defined as:

A violation of consent regarding one's body or extended property.

Because consent is subjective, choice must be central to each individual in order for each individual to come to the least harm.

Anarchism means "the philosophy of no rulers". Applied infinitely, this means that every murder, theft, rape, abuse, kidnapping, or other violent crime is against anarchist philosophy. The larger the scale of these crimes, the more affronted the anarchist will be. Because a state claims to be sovereign over so many individuals, it is the largest threat or affront to anarchism and the search for the least harm to the greatest number.

I am an anarchist in philosophy because I will never make an authoritarian choice as an individual. I am an anarchist politically because I feel that everyone should be treated as I want to be treated.

I am fundamentally against being forced to buy a product or service. I am fundamentally against invading a nation. These are combined when I am forced to pay a third party to invade a nation.

    The list goes on.

If that is hard to read, then anarchism is simply a philosophy of voluntary association. The anarchist feels that he should be able to live his own life by voluntarily interacting with others, and by extension he feels that those he interacts with should be free to interact with him (telling me I am free to pick any door but locking them all is not giving me freedom).

A state will always prohibit this voluntary lifestyle and it will always be the greatest threat to anyone that lives within its borders. No private sector criminal will ever be able to beat out the state, because the state is an organization that has claimed a monopoly on violence. That is why vigilantes are considered criminals.
