Being good at it does not mean I do it voluntarily. It is more that I have a compulsive need to correct every inaccuracy I come across.

I get that a lot too. I can't stand blatantly obvious errors or contradictions in something. If I read a book which is lacking in very basic grammar, i.e. commas and such, the I rage, and stop reading it. I don't tend to point them out often, though.
I get the feeling you care slightly less about giving out your opinions of things so casually though. Spelling mistakes never seem to go unnoticed by yourself, and you like to make them known to the world.

What if you had some kind of motivation to do it? Money or something along those lines. Perhaps even a Death Note.

 

Actually, I have not corrected anyone in months. I considered it with your last post because you said you're in place of your, but it would have been petty. It is errors in reasoning that bother me. I hate to see people assume things or state falsehoods as if they are fact.

Hm. It depends on how much effort I had to put in, and if I was being paid to win or being paid to lose. What is this about a death note?
