Yes, I am. If you will notice, the only definition of confrontative is a link to confrontational, and that site is called Wiktionary. I could have created that article or another like it just to claim that a word exists and I can edit it right now. I am afraid that it is invalid as a basis for a word's existence.

New York Times, though? Where do they get off using words that only exist user-created wiki pages? Though this is far from the first time that new words have been spread through the media before they get put into dictionaries. Many Britishisms and Americanisms have traveled back and forth via the media like this.

That is correct. I prefer confrontational because it is derived from the same word and has absolutely no change in definition. Not only that, but it is in the dictionary and everyone knows it. Unless there is a separate or slightly different definition, I see absolutely no reason to use it instead of confrontational. Unless it is region-specific; UK lingo or some-such.

It is valid in the same way that "sympathetical" is valid. You might have heard it used before, and it might make sense, but it bugs me. Inefficient.

That is true. I mean, until End of Time, you sort of have a love-hate relationship with him.

 

At the end of series 3 I didn't like him because of what he did but by End of time I was like MASTER! *GLOOOOMP* I do hope he returns, well I bet he will at some point.

 

Yeah, because we all know that Moffat will find some way -- canon or not-- to bring him back. Still, I remember that one article that said Benedict Cumberbatch would be playing the new Master.

 

Of course he does, or we wouldn't have had confirmation of who'll be playing him. Silly Ienzo.
