I'm basically still cutting down and getting resources. I can't even place down a simple block. :c It won't let me. I changed my controls for placing to "U" and it won't let me place a friggin block no many how much I try.

The whole reason it becomes like that is because of OCD. I swear I should not be playing Minecraft >.>
I end up spending a whole night in-game just being a freaking perfectionist about everything, I go as far as to make random tunnels that no one will ever see look nice and neat and it's SO ANNOYING.

Well that's strange...maybe you should set the controls back to default and see if it works like that?

@Feenie - :c I'm jealous, bro. I've made a Stove and another Crafting table. I flooded the mine I was digging in and sorta..flooded the hill right above my house. I'm screwed if I accidently dig away the dirt I placed there to stop it.

 

xD That's unlucky. I'm currently lost god knows where. I just somehow managed to find a random exit to the mine I was in but I have no clue where I could be :/

 

I'm ages away from a cave, the nearest one is the Jungle/Forest area but I don't want to adventure out. ;_; I need shears. How do you make shears, again? I'm so forgetful.
