I do love his writing,and found the story ever so adorable...or would have,if the people had not been myself and yourself xD
But it must be said,I laughed at that whole "sharing the bed" moment. As it is something I would say,to disturb you..

Oh I didn't mean that about Ashwin, I was talking about my friend who said that Tim Curry sucked.

But yeah, What? is an amazing writer. He really captured the scene greatly and portrayed the emotions of the characters to the reader very well.
Though I'm not too sure about the "Daxa begging her parents to take Finny with them" part.
That just seems....very creepy.
