    Goku literally does everything. Everything. None of the characters are memorable except the dragon dudes (a cool idea I have to say). They made Trunks a complete pansy. And the English theme song is...a terrible rap abomination. Super Saiyan 4 looks like a silly 80's glam rockstar (with eyeliner and all).

    The series should have ended with Z, with Goku going off to train Uub and leaving the rest to fan imagination (though it was actually going to end with Goku dying on Namek after beating Freeza, and failing that, with Goku dying in the Cell Games and Gohan beating Cell). The whole idea was to have Goku die a hero and finish the series once and for all, along with Gohan becoming the new hero of Earth.

    I am so thankful I grew up with this version ^_^

    Meh, I guess that's true. They must have been running out of ideas by then (I mean, Super 17? I have to admit looking back at it they were pulling at straws). But really, Goku IS the main character, it would be even worse if they made Goku do less >.> And personally, I enjoyed having Pan and Trunks as main characters too, regardless if they did anything memorable or not.
