Just a small poem I wrote while bored in class. Enjoy(?) =O __________________ Ladies and Gentlemen! What a sight to behold In folds of bolted silk tightly bound Where it weaves and conceives For you all to receive The marvelous idea I've found! Ladies and Gentlemen! See a feast for the mind Where words inspire imagination And *****s link together In a brilliant tether to encourage a thought's creation! Ladies and Gentlemen, Submit not the burden That tempts tired eyes to drift worry free For plans are in motion To fuel my devotion And bring thoughts to life for all to see! Ladies and Gentlemen, Divert your gaze from here And the fantasy conjured by me With its enchanting light Dimmed by a heedless plight Like a bottled letter lost at sea. __________________ Thoughts?
I believe I have never seen a piece like this, and there's a reason why . . . (Simon moment) . . . People don't have the talent you do. The way this was set up was fantastic. Hopefully you get bored in class more ^_^ While still maintaining a great grade :p
Thanks xD I rarely write poetry though, this was just one of those random surges of inspiration. And I tend to write after rushing through all my work. . . most of the time.
It certainly doesn't show that you rarely write. If anything, this poem beams experience. I didn't know you had such a talent, but I do hope you keep writing more: this was a great piece!
Well thank you! When you're in the middle of a poetry lecture in English class, it's hard not to pick some things up. The structure and "flow" (not sure what to call it) were inspired by historical American writers.
