Kuroshitsuji

Oh me oh my,it appears to be up to me to get this ball rolling.
Alrighty then dears and darlings,it has been one wonderful week since we all decided to begin reading the lovely Kuroshitsuji manga,or re-reading it in some peoples case.
So dears,it is time for impressions,fangasms and rants about the first five chapters?
What did you like/dislike/love/find different from the anime?

I was the last to post so I couldn't reply, my dear :lolface:
But I must say it was rather different. The beginning was random with that fight and all. And I looooove the fact that my dear Sebby has his own personal cat. <3 So adorable.

 

I agree. I was, to say the least, surprised to see that fight in the manga instead of seeing Ciel throw that dart at Sebastion and Finni, nor did he ask Sebastion to take down the photo of his parents in the hall.
Not only that, but it seems that the manga and anime are out of sync. The example being Elizabeth or Lizzie, didn't appear in the anime until episode 3, but in the manga she appeared in the seccond chapter. I thought she might've appeared in the third chapter instead.

 

Oh speaking of which, I much rather enjoyed the cynicalness of the anime when it came to the Italian guy coming over. The manga and him being all kind wasn't as interesting to me to be honest.
And as for the Lizzy bit, I like it a bit better in the anime as well when Grell was already introduced. It made it a bit more funny.

 

I am liking all the little details in it that differ,like those you mentioned.
And the manga has made me laugh more so far,but that could just be because I know what to expect now.
The fight at the start really confused me at first,and my mind started making up very odd ideas of who or what or why they were fighting.
But I am enjoying it rather a lot so far I must say <3~

 

Well it is rather good so far. I'm trying to remember a part that was enjoyable but I'm a bit braindead. Oh and chapter 5 was good comic relief. xD I loved how everyone kept bugging Sebastian. Rather funny at the end I must say.

 

I barely read chapter 5, but so far, the funniest part to me was in chapter 1
When Ciel made Sebastion drink Tanaka's "Special Unadulteraed 'Lemonade'"
That scene made me laugh the most. I wish they would've put that scene in the anime.

 

Oh yes I remembe that. It was a rather funny scene. Though I donkt understand how Sebastian didn't notice while he was drinking it and Ciel did.
Also, about the chapter with Ciel being kidnapped, some of it doesn't make much sense in what age they're in. Like the phone. The one in the anime made a bit more sense than the one in the manga because the manga one looks like a cell phone just made out of metal.

 

My tiny theory about Sebastion and the lemonade was that he was happy that the young master had offered him that he didn't even notice what was in it til it was too late.
I've noticed that too. Who knows what the illustrators were thinking when they drew the manga. But what ever century they're in, it certainly didn't have cellphones (I forget what century Kuroshitsuji takes place in sometimes))
*Sigh* Sometimes the universe of manga makes no sense at all, and sometimes it's better than the anime.

 

Yeah you would think, with him being a Demon butler and all, that he would notice such a small matter especially since Ciel noticed right away. But who are we to complain about a small matter. It was funny nonetheless.
Yes I kept looking at it to make sure it was a cellphone. They must of had some advanced technology back then. lol.But so far, so good on the manga. I'm enjoying the story no matter how mixed up it is.
